If I remember correctly it was a future protection change to the draft pick that later got moved to Detroit for Grant.

ok...I don't see where that was related the Nance injury other than both sides knew he was injured at the time

It was the extent of the injury that caused the renegotiate protections. Both sides knew he hurt his knee, I don't think either side knew he needed surgery until after the trade was agreed on.

I'm still not seeing it and don't recall hearing anything about renegotiating the trade. What was the original deal if it was renegotiated?

Josh Hart takes the time after his first game as a Knick to defend the Blazer organization:

Love Josh, but the Blazers were doing the stupid thing of playing a SG at SF, then wondering why our defense sucks. Norm Powell 2.0. Both great players used improperly.

Which is why the GP2 signing in the first place made zero sense. You already have 700 minutes at the guard position each night and 41 games of Nurkić a year. Getting nothing in return other than a salary dump is fine with me. At least until the salary dump goes to overpaying Grant. Whatever. Not my money.

The change was in draft pick protections. Instead of a future Pelicans pick if the pick was not conveyed (it was not) it turns into the future Bucks pick that the Pelicans had the rights to. The change was because Nance was going to be out longer than expected.

Yeah unfortunately we have a habit of playing people out of position. Simons the SG and Grant the PF for example. It would be nice to get some more size so everyone can move back to their natural positions.

Watching the Big Game and Jimmy Johnson is talking about Patrick Mahommes going into halftime, getting his ankle retaped, and take some pain medication in order to play in the second half. Seems like a double standard.

I never heard about that. Is there a link? I didn't find one in my brief search.

WOJ reporting that the trade will go through as is, with us getting Knox and all 5 2nd round picks.

The Blazers could still be penalized if found guilty of anything from the league review though... right?

Based on what I am reading on the General forum people are saying a fine and second round pick are the likely worst case if the Blazers are found guilty of anything.

Blazers didn't do anything wrong. Gp came here for the money, didn't actually want to play for us since he was cleared a few months before he actually took the floor and then got out asap. Then this stuff comes out a few days after being traded? I've been saying for months the guy was a grifter, this just reinforces my opinion.

He can expect boos in Portland for the rest of his career while the warriors should be penalized for spreading false information and trying to damage the reputation of a franchise.

GP2 just joined the ranks Hedo and Felton on the players most hated by Blazer fans.

That game on February 28 in Portland might be the most intense game of the season if he
plays. The guy just wanted to get paid and never really wanted to be here.

Reporting said the Warriors may continue to "pursue recourse" with the league. If they do, the Blazers should lawyer-up and not take this laying down. Perhaps ask the league to also simultaniously investigate potential slander on behalf of the Warriors. Making these types of allegations, portraying us as bad actors, without solid proof of Blazers wrongdoing should be taken very seriously because it is a multi-billion dollar business. So far the only evident shadyness I have seen has come from their beat writers and their unnamed sources. Personally I would love to know the names of these sources.

We should PUNCH BACK!

Who knows what GPII told the doctors during the physical. Did he make a little comment that got blown out of control? I can't imagine how we got to the Blazers forcing GPII to take injections and forced to play. There should be an investigation into that and not just into what the Blazers disclosed. From what they said on one of the sports shows, the liquid or pill form is basically like Ibuprofin, but a little stronger. Nothing like the injection of the same medicine.

Maybe the Warriors saw an opportunity to keep a few second round draft picks. Isn't that just as possible as the Blazers not disclosing?

All players want to get paid.

Especially a player who's never had any success in the NBA until he was almost 30.

It's not like Dame gave the Blazers a home town discount.

I discussed this with my Aunt who has been a nurse for a very long time, and Toradol is not a pain killer according to her it's anti-inflammation drug. It is nowhere near the same as something like Morphine or Vicodin. She mentioned that when people came in to a clinic she worked at looking for pain killers they would sometimes give them Toradol to shut them up and make them leave, since it's not like giving someone a morphine shot or something.
