Clippers are better after trades, but they still need Goatbrook
Just looking at tonight's Warriors-Clippers game (which is ongoing as I write this).
The Clippers have a much more balanced, improved team since trading for Hyland, Gordon and Plumlee (IMO). The depth chart looks something like this:
TM..........BH...........JP
PG..........NP............BB
KL...........EG...........AC
MM..........NB...........RC
IZ............MP...........??
They have a roster spot open right now.
I've watched a lot of Nuggets games the past two years. Bones Hyland has a lot of talent, and he can really score the ball. However, he's not a good passer, he plays no defense, and IMO he's not ready for the playoffs. He alienated coaches and teammates near the end of his Denver tenure.
The Clips are a win-now team. Hyland could become a star in a few years, but he's not there now.
Enter Goatbrook.
We all know Russ' limitations. But, he can pass the ball and he has plenty of playoff experience. Paul George and Marcus Morris want him. I'm sure he'd be willing to come off the bench, as he did for the Lakers.
The Clippers, if healthy (as always), can make a real push this year in the playoffs. But they need one more piece.
Get Goatbrook.

If they do sign him it'll be interesting to see how Westbrook and Bones get on with their childish antics. I can just see Bones in an after game interview refusing to admit that Westbrook is a star, only for Westbrook to retaliate by turning into a Vampire.

Hyland has star potential, but his maturity level isn't there yet. He can score the heck out of the ball, though.

Whatever helps put energy into this team. I could see improvement in the second unit for the new guys but that first unit has 0 energy and plays offense like a bunch of zombies playing. Maybe it will knock Morris out if the rotation, I'm so over him.

True. Westbrook would instantly be the best playmaker in that team. He would probably end up starting after a while unless he wants to win 6 man as a novelty.

Westbrook doesn't play defense either, and while he's a better playmaker than Bones he's such a non-threat when he doesn't have the ball that he's not going to help their offense either.
I voted that they should sign him, but I'm not a Clippers fan and want to see them lose in an entertaining fashion.

I would like to see Westbrook on the Clippers, just for the lulz. The Clippers aren't going to win anything with this roster, they are at best a 2nd round exit team.

No doubt, Russ will bring a ton of energy.

I'm still trying to figure out how going from Kennard to Gordon is supposed to be an upgrade... I get that Gordon is a better playmaker, but he's also significantly more ball dominant, a worse shooter, and a worse defender by a large margin.

Re: Clippers are better after trades, but they still need Goatbrook
They have terrible pace and the best playmakers arent natural playmakers, hence why their 3% is so bad. All their shots are hard. Ill take the 3 bad shots and 3 braindead turnovers for what he brings. Theres no risk, hes a vet min deal this year.

I want them to pick him up just to see how much emotion Kawhi will show when Westbrook makes those boneheaded plays.

Hah... i thought the Clippers had the most stacked team according to LA homers at the start of the season? You had people on here and other social media talking about how it was the best Clippers team that featured PG/Kawhi with INSANE depth
Most delusional takes on a team ive seen in a while. Almost as bad as the KAT/Wiggins can win a championship once they reach full potential mob that existed on realgm in yesteryear.

That's a fair question. Maybe they wanted out of Kennard's contract?
I read an article saying that the Clips wanted more defense. That seemed to be (as written in the article) a reference to Gordon and Kennard.

No, I think Pat Bev is a much better fit than Westbrook for the Clippers. Bev is a better defender and will fit in without requiring major adjustments to the offense
A disappointing team like the Bulls who are desperate for PG play should sign Westbrook. They don't have much to lose on the season. I do worry about Westbrook and Derozan's ability to shoot it but luckily everyone else including Vuc can spread the floor well

If he's willing to play 20 MPG during the regular season and 15 MPG during the playoffs, it's possible he could give them a small boost off the bench, but I feel like it's more trouble than it's worth.

According to shams there is no market for Russ. Clippers like every other team is not interested
