Jordan is my GOAT but I think (impossible to know for sure of course) Lebron would be superior if they played in the league at the same time. However, greatness is measured relative to the era you play in, and there's not much question that Jordan was the best player ever relative to his competition at the time.

That's possible. I however fully believe some people might not even know the Jordan was a basketball player at this point. I'm sure it's a minority, but over time he'll become more known for his clothing brand than basketball to increasingly younger generations.

Lebron thinks MJ is the GOAT and spent most of his life modeling himself and chasing after that man, he wears 23 for a reason. 6 championships, 6 finals MVPs, 10x scoring champ, 5 MVPs, a NCAA championship, even 2x dunk champ.

Lebron is great but I don’t see how anybody besides the biggest stans could put him over MJ, Lebron being personally nicer and more socially conscious isn’t something I factor.

Couple things can be true. Jordan is one of, if the not the best player ever. He was amazing. The older I get the more I think its stupid to have one goat and think its just better have people who were the best in the era the played, the game is too hard to compare. So I think Jordan, Kareem and Lebron are all "goats".

However Jordan also had the greatest media campaign ever and has had people who played with him in the media for decades now. The better Jordan looked, the better they look. You also have Skip, whos made a career off of talking **** about Lebron. As time goes on this poll will change to Lebron, and then to someone else in, and to someone else.

I mean Mike has 6 championships and 5 MVP's. That is some GOAT level achievement that he's done in a competitive era and not when the league was just starting.

If anyone uses the argument how he had an easy road to championships or what a washed up era he was in, well the majority of legends with multiple championships had a quite easy road in some of those years as well.

One of the most forced debate of all time is trying to make Lebron the goat over Jordan. Should be like 68-2 in the poll but I get that Lebron has a few hardcore stans out there. average age of sample in these kind of political polls will always be higher than average age of adults in US..this will usually skew slightly older..median age would be around 55+
