A convincing win. Shocking considering the rest of the season. Truly can’t fathom why Pelinka didn’t make moves earlier it might be too late. Younger LeBron would be able to will himself to another level and rattle off like 10 wins in a row but he’s not quite that guy anymore even though he’s still elite

First time all season that LeBron has played under 30 minutes
That's so sad. I'm glad the Westbrick era is over

Got the tie-breaker over New Orleans as well now. Great win, almost everybody in the rotation tonight pitched in. Don’t think I’ve seen a game of ours where good team defense and free-flowing offense has allowed James to coast and put up < 25 in a convincing victory since early 2021. Not to mention, this MOV was accrued with poor FT shooting and 3P shooting.
A week of rest is overdue for almost everyone on the team, it’s time to keep building off of this.

They need to go at least 15-8 in the next 23 I think. Very doable given their schedule but they need LeBron and AD to be healthy for all those games (certainly a risky thing to bet on). The playoffs without LeBron is just **** though

Its nice to see D'Angelo do well in LA after being frustrated over him struggling to put it together for so many of his early years here. The back to back assists for LeBron were buttery smooth.

They should go 16-7.. their easiest schedule all season starts after ASB
That should get them to 6th place

Should we really expect them to go on such a streak considering they have just played their first game together and the team didn't have any stretch coming close to the one ur mentioning now? It feels all but a little too late I'm afraid. And this is also me thinking that this was a really well-played game from them, albeit against a struggling New Orleans team.

Even without the trades I had them winning that if healthy. Schedule is light. There are 10 games they should definitely win and the rest are 50-50

Hopefully Vanderbilt will be able to adjust once teams start cheating off him to stifle LeBron and AD. One or two 3&D wings and this team would've been damn near perfect. They need to move the 2029 first for DFS/Royce O'Neal in the offseason
That will be the time for him to focus on offensive rebounds (with no regard for human life/ Rodman style).
It becomes much harder to just leave a guy when you are forced to commit a body to him in order to box him out (or if he does enough damage/ face guard him).
PG Russell (6’4”)
SG Beasley (6’4”)
SF James (6’8”)
PF Vanderbilt (6’8”)
C Davis (6’10”)
I like that lineup, I like it a lot.
Don't believe the hype...

Same. Maybe Beasley can figure things out defensively a la Cavs JR Smith (next year).

How surprising. The Lakers aquire some shooters and they look a great team, with LBJ playing under 30 mins and scoring 20 points on so so efficiency instead of 40 on 60ts%.
It took them like 5 years of LBJ to understand you need shooters arround him.

Shooters isn't a LeBron thing, it's an NBA thing.
The Lakers were building horrible rosters.

Russell threw a great alley oop to Davis and it reminded me of all the way off alley oops Westbrook threw to AD and Lebron. Was refreshing to see.

16-11 is their best stretch from what I can tell
Their schedule right after the ASB could be pretty tough, but then it gets really easy. Utah (x2), Chicago (x2), Houston (x2), Orlando... a lot of winnable games

I believe we can do it, not losing games / slacking on the margins and James/Davis' health by far the two most important contingencies.

And with the lack of shooting + less size across the board, the 2022 and 23 squads (pre deadline) didn't move much a needle (if any) on defense, and didn't really have the off-ball acumen or passing ability to compensate for not being a shooting / adequate spacing threat.

Ya no lead was ever safe before. Now that they may be able to protect 15-20 pt leads without him on the court his mpg should go down quite a bit.

Fair enough. But if you have a star who is naturally a shooter you can look for other things (if you have a KD or a Curry). With guys like LBJ and Doncic obviously you gotta have good shooters arround em.
I'm not saying other teams don't need them... but it's definitely something that is just logical with LBJ.
With that said I agree with you.

I think they’ll have two picks in offf season? Depending on who underperforms they can try getting OG, however he’ll be expiring next year , can only shoot threes at an ok lvl on spot ups and keeps talking about wanting a bigger offensive role when he has no offensive game at all . However will sure up guarding 1-3
