I think much of this is what Brown would be working on.
A lot of the gambling might be how much the Kings staff value deflections. Perhaps that is part of the progression too and when they get to the next part of the development it won't be as much a factor.
For sure though, some concerning elements. Don't forget where this team was coming from on the defensive end. This isn't like putting a new offense together, it's a lot harder to get a bottom of the league team to not only play D at a decent level, but have them adopt a new defensive scheme.

This is every game. Right now we have one average defender in our starting lineup in Harrison Barnes, everyone else is below average. Not sure there is enough coaching in the world to turn this unit into a solid defensive core. We are better off moving Huerter to the bench and looking for a defensive upgrade to Barnes in free agency.
