Re: Buyout market
Seems like K Love will be bought out. I hope the FO could give that a look. He is a big that can shoot and rebound, a perfect insurance in case AD gets injured again.

Re: Buyout market
Love would actually be great next to AD in limited minutes. Can spread the floor and pass. Plus he seems like a good team mate.

Re: Buyout market
Maybe the team needs a locker room leader like dudley more than anything. Can Love take up that role? Extra big with 3 pt shot as a safety net in case of injuries. Be mindful of him being a defensive liability though if we really sign him.
One more defensive wing is also preferred if they doesn't try out using reeds as a defensive stopper against some top wings in the league.
Vendo is excellent. Just that James needs to preserve more energy than ever. We have to have one more guy who can consistently take up the toughest defensive assignment next to James.

I read that Stanley Johnson cannot sign with LAL until next year unfortunately

I agree that the team needs a locker room leader more than anything. Beverley would have been awesome here, the ideal type, but I prefer having a player that could actually make a difference like Bamba (and the fact that Bamba made Bryant easy to trade for 3 second rounders)
Realistically, this is a pretty damn deep team. A lot of players that could be playing above 20 mins. In terms of where the depth is the weakest, I suppose one more traditional center or traditional pg would make sense, but realistically, the level of capable players on the wings and forwards makes it pretty easy to adjust the rotation even if we lose a rotation piece due to injury.
I would prefer another locker room leader/veteran presence. This team has a long way to go to be anything close to a contender...hell, they have a long way to go to even make the play-in, playoffs. That said, the ultimate goal is still making a miraculous run.
It doesn't even need to buy out add...a veteran FA who is still in shape can fit the role here. Rondo would appealing in a Haslem role but his latest personal/legal stuff make him not worth the headache.

Re: Buyout market
He’s over the hill. For this team the way it’s built, Bamba’s potential on defense and ability from three is more exciting than any Love outlet passes. AD and LBJ and DLO can do that just fine.

Re: Buyout market
With Love gone, I wouldn't mind Will Barton. He probably wouldn't get minutes, and he's had a down year, but he's a solid 6'6 and a decent enough athlete/defender, while shooting 38% from 3 even on this Wizards team.
He was also playing 32 minutes just last year for a playoff team, and his per 36 totals aren't too far off his last year volume stats.

That's like put Westbrook in the rotation again but worst. He is such a bad chucker I remember watching him hurting the Nuggets in a lot of games for his inconsistency and because he wanted the ball a lot. That's the last thing you need right now.

Re: Buyout market
Can we just sign Jay Huff for the final roster spot in case we don't get anyone from the buy out market?

Re: Buyout market
I think I'd rather get Gary Clark Jr from the G League
At least he'd give wing defense depth

Re: Buyout market
Witout James. We down one of the best player to run the offense.
Is a pure point guard or a wing or a big more urgently need for us to get into the playoff?
Rondo or Dragic would be good as veteran presence and as 3rd string back up point guard.

With Lebron down, we need someone who can create for the second unit. Reaves is nice, but not as a first option. It was painful at times watching the Memphis game.
Dragic would be my first choice.

Jay Huff to the Wizards.
With out Lebron and DLo I might consider Dragic.

Re: Buyout market
I personally prefer Rondo as the player coach. He also has the respect from AD. Maybe a little better than Dragic on defense?
Dragic provides better 3pt shooting though.
