You realize his game is smooth and finesse. Guy has never been a dunker.

Ya'll need to finally realize hes not blake griffin in his prime

Doesn’t have to be Blake Griffin in his prime to dunk when he has nobody around him in the paint except for a tiny guard behind him.

Freaking Biyombo would’ve dunked that.

It was pretty obvious who Phoenix cares about more when Bridges was sent packing over Ayton.

This isn’t really true at all, the Nets wanted Bridges not Ayton. Every single report from Woj/Shams etc all support it too.

Nets have Claxton who’s in the running for DPOY (at a very great contract too btw) so it does make sense. They must not have thought they could flip Ayton elsewhere for anything better either.

It was pretty obvious who Phoenix cares about more when Bridges was sent packing over Ayton. DA might be soft but when playoffs rolls around that’s who you want defending the paint and shooting 60+% over a wing who will likely disappear in the WCF/NBA finals. I mean I l love Bridges still saddened we lost him but Ayton is a more important piece to our team than Bridges at this point.

Nets just signed Claxton to give them what they need from a C, they didnt want Ayton, Bridges was their main target the whole time, gimme a break.

Bro, the Nets wanted Bridges more than Ayton. Cmon now.

It's a bit of a stretch but I kinda understand where he's coming from. Ayton is a switch big with legitimate size and that's super important because you can't be played off the floor because teams targeting you for isos and pnrs is less effective.

We'll certainly see. I don't buy it. He doesn't have any heart and just gets by on height and athleticism more than skill. It's a joke watching him get outplayed by smaller guys who have no business doing so. He's just not that dude. Period.

And to your point about Bridges, he was an all NBA defender having nearly won DPOY. BKN wanted him, not Ayton, and that's the ONLY reason we got KD. They made it clear during the last off season when they tried to get Durant and BKN didn't want him. That's saying something about him. And they're right.

Okogie doesnt have a history of getting buckets, he's always been a junk bucket getter and out there for his defense and massive wingspan. He's the perfect 5th when KD suits up.

History shmistory his game is evolving on the Suns. Dude can get buckets now. I mean did you see that baseline euro-step?

We should celebrate his brilliance and when you talk to Okogie you realize what a classical human being he is. It was 201 years ago today, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 in Eflat, which escorted in the age of Romanticism in music. And when I think of Josh Okogie, I think of Beethoven and the age of the Romantics. This guy has it all.

I was super happy with the signing when it took place but admittedly didn't have high expectations of the guy considering his lack of shooting. I dunno what he did but I assume through hard work and hours in the gym, he's somehow fixed his shot and with that comes meaningful playing time which he's looked great in.

Yeah, all I heard was this guy can’t shoot but is an excellent defender. Didn’t start off strong this season but really picked up his shooting the past month or so. Glad he’s with us and not another contender. It’s like having Beverly on your team such a pest but Beverly can’t shoot this well like Okogie is showcasing us.

Also small difference.....Okogie isn't a c**t

Well yeah there's no doubt Bridges is a better player in a vacuum, and is far more valuable to the Nets as an asset and player.

We are the fourth seed without our best player and a litany of injuries. Really have to like our chances in the playoffs when fully healthy.

Also  five foot eighton how did we not come up with this nickname before   im dead

No green font my friend. I know that Bridges brings more value RIGHT NOW considering how he has been playing and improving this season over Ayton. But in terms of playoffs you can’t tell me Ayton is not more valuable than Bridges? DA can switch on multiple defenders, can defend well inside causing problems for many centers besides Giannis & Embiid or course. He was a huge reason we reached the finals few years ago. Bridges is an excellent roll player but that’s all he’s a roll player until he proves otherwise on the Nets.

Vacuum = better player period. But you can't go out and start Biyombo and expect to perform well against playoff offenses for 30+ minutes. He'll be targeted for every single second.

But there's no real point since the Nets didn't (correctly) want Ayton.

I don't even necessarily agree that Ayton would be more valuable in the playoffs either. But the concern over size and not having a switch big is fair.

Hopefully Ayton has monstrous game in the 2nd half to shut us all up.

And Booker too who’s been garbage this half and we haven’t talked about him enough.

Where was Book at the end of the half? Hope he is not injured again. Ross looks great.
