Yeah I don’t know what Riley is doing, bro.

We pull off this deal, secretly tank rest of the year and hope for Wemby or Scoot. And then we are right back in contention for the ship.

It sure sounds nice.

If you tell me we could trade Butler for Bridges and Weby/Scoot, I'd be all over it.

I love the draft and it's my biggest criticism of our org. We have snubbed our noses at it for decades. In my eyes it's as realistic as trying to dump some rings on a table for every free agent out there.

Bridges for example. We traded our pick that year which was ultimately used to acquire Bridges. Would be nice to have that one back.

:nonono:

Riley blew it if he never even attempted to fleece the Suns the way Brooklyn did.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Mikal Bridges would sure look good in a Heat uni. Was my absolute fave in his draft class. Glad he dropped 40 on us.

The Suns never wanted Butler. Just look at how hard KD was playing before his injury. Dude was giving it his all, he was leading and carrying the Nets. The same cant be said about Butler at all, maybe he shows up in the playoffs but I've lost track of so many games this season where Butler is just cashing in a check putting little to no effort on the court, other teams clearly see this. Maybe it all works out and he goes off in the playoffs, who knows.

Theres a reason why Jimmy was given that nickname or Playoff Jimmy by other players and coaches. The difference between playoff Jimmy and regular season effort is vast.

Trade Jimmy to the Pelicans for Ingram and picks.

Or trade Jimmy to Portland for Sharpe and picks.

Or trade Jimmy to Atlanta for Okongwu, Hunter and picks.

Trade Lowry at the deadline for player/picks.

Get Duncan back in the lineup immediately and feature him in the offense again. Trade him as soon as a market appears.

Porzingis
Bam
Jimmy
Herro
Lowry

I guess Porzingis and Yurt77 play the same way.

Not sure Spo would play this roster to his liking.

I don't think the Heat should trade Butler unless he asks to leave. He does deserve a better commitment from the front office though.

Assuming Oladipo opts in, I would offer part of the MLE to Kevin Love and target Chris Paul (Herro?) and (if Toronto isn't competitive at the deadline in 2024) offer Lowry's expiring (along with Jovic) and several picks for Siakam. We'd still need a shooting guard, one who can hit a 3 ideally, but that can't be too hard. Buddy Hield would be good enough and isn't valued that high. Maybe find another PG prospect. I like the senior from Houston who might be available in the second round.

Miami should definitely target Taylor Hendricks in the draft. He's from Ft. Lauderdale and is a good player on an otherwise poor team that won't be in the ncaa tournament.

Finish 2024 with:

Paul, (Oladipo), Butler, Siakam, and Adebayo.
D Robinson - Martin - Love - Yurtseven - Zeller

(Hendricks?)

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

If we trade Jimmy and build with Herro and Bam...not sure those guys can win anything as leaders anymore.

If we trade Bam and Herro for a second star to complement Jimmy, don't know... Could be a shortsighted mistake, too. Wouldn't want to be the GM right now.

Maybe time to roll some dice.

The obvious answer is putting Herro, Lowrys expiring, 3-4 1sts and Jovic on the table for an all star level scorer good role players who can play both sides of the ball to put next to Jimmy and Bam who we’ve already almost had 2 finals appearances with

Gonna need more than those assets to get anything done. That haul will not get you much. Not sure the 1sts are even feasible. I'd trade Bam too. His numbers are starting to fall off a bit too much. Our defense sucks, our offense inconsistent...the playoffs will be a better barometer of true needs.

We're good but not great.

As much as I love Jimmy, Id trade him over BAM. Bam for $20M less a year is better value.

How the heck do you get blown up at home against a team with no all stars? A pathetic display at this point in the campaign. A major step back. Get serious or go home, players.
