Bones is young and most young players have holes, he’s more than talented enough to develop into at the minimum an effective NBA role player.

My only concern with him is his head. It was great to see him excited about coming here, but it always takes two to tangle and he needs to learn the right lessons from how things went south for him in Denver.

That is a related but separate aspect from his game, he naturally has the mentality of a scorer but that’s not necessarily a damning thing on this team since he at least talks about wanting to be a point guard.

This is what I'm scared of. If Russ joins the team, he will be getting significant minutes, guaranteed. If he adjusts his game to fit with the lineup, it could be a good addition, but I think he will just be marginally better than EJ/Hyland. I could be wrong, but it's a gamble that I wouldn't take. But maybe him being a previous teammate of PG and EJ might have a positive impact on him?

And I know it's only one game, but I really liked seeing EJ back in a Clips uniform. He was one of my favorite players prior to him being traded, and I remember him being in a group of the next great SGs at the time. He doesn't look like he's aged much, and still built like a tank. He's not gun shy like Luke either, so IMO it was a good off-the-radar pickup.

The one thing about Russ is that less than 2 years ago, he averaged a triple double and 1.4 stls/gm. Don't let his Lakers tenure cloud judgement. We wouldn't be getting Russ at $47M. Russ can absolutely come in on a buyout and provide GREAT value to this team. His hustle will elevate the players around him which we need. Zu and Plumlee will benefit greatly playing with Russ.

someone in 213 comments section mentioned the GorMan tandem, which i think is going to be a critical pairing. and then it made me think of this.

What I’ll say is they had to stretch the premise and budget as both are somewhat thin, but they did a great job. Especially with effects and costume design which are great. The movie has more than a few really good laughs too. Great movie to watch with a group.

beautiful elbow shot by PG. we need more of that and less of him being up in his head.

mostly missed what chris haynes was saying about eric gordon, can anyone recap?

paul george i think is seeing pretty quickly that he can trust his teammates. not just 3 games ago he woulda pounded that ball with bad results. instead he tosses it to mann (whom he usually ignores) and the ball moves all the way around and nets us a bucket.

imo it's making him more confident on both ends because his defense is picking up and he's taking GOOD shots - not labored ones.

PlumGod and EJ are a revelation to this team. Bones is a year away but the talent is definitely there.

EJ is such a clear upgrade over Luke, and obviously Plumlee is night and day better than Moses Brown/nobody/small ball/smoke and mirrors.

Bones is not an upgrade over Reggie, but so far has shown the potential to be our backup point guard now, and adds his own wrinkles- speed, 3 point shooting, and of course hopefully improvement down the road.

Speaking of Brown, seems like his two way time here is done...wonder if we will give Xavier the two way slot now?

Bones was more of a future move, so he should get an INC for the time being, unless he surprises in either a good or bad way.

I still can't believe Ty had him out there in the 4th quarter. Looks like all jobs are on the table.
