This is not my big board, but my guess at the way too early draft order prediction
1. VW - duh
2. Scoot - doh
3. Amen - hmmm pick
4. Jarace - the overthink potential pick
5. Brandon Miller - the wow can't believe he fell pick
6. Keyonte - safe pick
7. Ausar - great value
8.Whitmore - BPA
9. Black - convinced he was 3rd best player in draft pick
10. Rupert - upside pick
11. Nick Smith Jr - the he was #1 ranked HS player pick
12. Jett Howard - probably should of went higher
13. Gradey Dick - can't take a white guy higher than this pick
14. Maxwell Lewis - The guy that is really good rotation player on a playoff team as a rookie pick

Lol, when I was 14 the first concert I went to without my parents was to see Korn at the old Charlotte coliseum. It was an eye opening experience to say the least. I still can't believe my Mom let me do that.

It's ok. When we draft this guy #1 overall, you can start the healing.

Those were the good days, back when we regularly went to the playoffs. Maybe drafting this guy would break the curse and bring us back to those days.

If only we still had Plumgoth. He'd be the lead singer of the Kornets.
Wait..Luke Kornet. Yes. This is who we must sign in FA.

Here is my 3rd favorite SG in this draft. Devin Carter. This dude will be a steal and might even be better than K George & Brandin Porz

There is no reason to box score watch with him when the G League is pretty much a free for all with little structure. Basically anyone who gets the ball in the G League can score 20 points cause the league is just terrible.
Scoot is a freak athlete with a great looking shot and is a great playmaker. When you watch him play, its clear how good he can be. He does things that other players can only dream of.
Scoot is getting locked in at #2 slot in every draft, no doubts, no consideration. He very well could be the 2nd best player, but you dont think Jaden Ivey, Paolo or Mathurin are dropping 30 plus in the gleague nightly?

Re: 2023 NBA Draft Thread
Watching Scoot he reminds me a lot of Ja Morant, with less ISO scoring (right now) but better defense. Sounds exactly like what we need. Looks to be a decent finisher.
Obviously not getting my hopes up for the top 2 picks, as its more than likely we won't get either. But I would be thrilled with a Scoot/LaMelo backcourt

Re: 2023 NBA Draft Thread
Scoot has Kyrie's handles and Morant's athleticism. He isn't a great shooter or passer yet, but it's clear he will be able to get to the rim whenever he wants. I'm not sure how much he'll impact winning, but he'll be one of the most exciting players in the league from day 1. I hope he ends up in San Antonio, they desperately need someone like him to breathe life back into their franchise.
Ironically, outside of teams in the latter part of the lottery like the Raptors and Blazers we are the best landing spot for Wembanyama. It isn't going to happen though, so I try not to think about it. I'm over here trying to convince myself that Ausar Thompson is going to be good.

Morant is a top 1% athlete and Kyrie has the best handles of all time, let's maybe dial it back just a bit for a guy that is averaging 18 ppg on 45% shooting vs Saben Lee, David Stockton and Gabe York.
Remove the names and I don't see how anyone can put these two players in the same tier.
Player 1 7-4 with longest wingspan ever, can score from anywhere on the court and handles the ball like a guard
Player 2 6-2 plus athleticism, good midrange shot, 3 ball not a major part of game and average playmaker for their position.

Yeah we're sitting over here never having won so much as a division or eastern conference title and you're actively wishing for San Antonio of all teams to hit the draft lottery jackpot?

Scoot Henderson is in the same tier athletically as Morant. I don't need to dial that back because it's the truth. His in and out, hesitation, speed, crossover, and ability to change direction are all elite. That doesn't mean he's Kyrie good, but if you watch film on him it's not a ridiculous comparison.
As for him and Wembanyama I never put them in the same tier. One is the kind of talent that can win multiple championships as your lead player. The other is an exciting scorer that I said I wasn't sure how much winning impact they'd have.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft Thread
Speaking of Victor, he had a 29/16 game tonight (10/23 shooting, 7/10 ft's). He was the only "big" left of his team, forwards had to play in the frontcourt because of injuries. And it was far from being a good game for him.
Ah, it was against one of Euroleague team playing in France (asvel).

I know we aren't hurting for a center anymore (unless it's Wemby) but look at this 18 y.o. beast. Someone to keep an eye on in case Nick leaves.

How about Taylor Hendricks? Dean also likes him, not sure he stays on the board long enough though.

I posted Taylor Hendricks before and was high on him before he became a mid first round option.
I chose to opt for Tristan Da Silva who I think can offer more versatility wise and we can probably get late..

My main argument is that nobody is close to Wemby, I think Scoot is much closer to Thompson twins as prospects than Vic.
Tier 1- VW
Tier 2- nobody
Tier 3- Scoot, Thompson Twins, Miller
Tier 4- Walker, Whitmore etc..
Scoot went 1-5 with 4 points including get ripped on a crossover by Grimes on the last series of play in the game and Grimes coming down and hitting game winner.
