Pick 2 of Dirk/Jokic/Walton

Post#1 » by durantbird » Fri Feb 17, 2023 9:32 pm

Dirk Nowitzki, Nikola Jokic, Bill Walton. All in peak, you can only pick two to start your team. Considerations like longevity are non factor, this is for a single season.

Dirk/Walton might be the most natural fit (especially defensively), but not necessarily best in talent. Dirk/Jokic has crazy offensive ceiling, and Jokic/Walton is a nice combo in terms of offensive defensive balance but may be overlapping.

Since i'm so anti-walton all time due to longevity, i'll give him his due here and go Dirk/Walton. That's a super interesting pairing and has a pretty clear championship ceiling. Even as a huge jokic fan i'll take walton's defensive edge here paired with dirk.

Dirk and Jokic. I would just surround them with pitbull type defenders only, they don't have even need arms to shoot.

If we're assuming good health, I'd go with Jokic/Walton.

Unsure who I’d go with exactly in a modern game scenario, but imagine (1) a PnR with Jokic orchestrating and Walton as the roll man or (2) Walton threading to a cutting Jokic perfectly in stride. Would be fun that’s for sure

Dirk Walton seems best to me. Dirk Jokic would be juicy offensively but without an extremely specific and ATG defensive supporting cast could get cooked defensively.

Jokic Walton would cover up for that defensive issue but I don't think they'd work as synergistically on offence

Having Walton supercharge Dirk's offence seems like it'd give more bang for your buck than having Jokic supercharge Walton's offence.
You said to me “I will give you scissor seven fine quality animation".

You left then but you put flat mediums which were not good before my scissor seven".

What do you take me for, that you treat somebody like me with such contempt?
