I'm not saying he doesn't deserve blame, just that at least, he would have complete his role, and be the first one to blame.
It's possible he made some decisions with the pressure from Ressler in the previous years, let's say both.

But I see signing Nate for several years after the ECF like a bigger mistake than the extensions of Collins and Capela.

And how is it possible that Randle was stopped during a whole playoffs series two years ago by the same frontcourt of Hunter/Collins/Capela/Okongwu, and to see a game like that now? It's just insane

Collins should have had surgery to fix that finger.

And this!
They didn't really take care of the players, rushing Hunter several times, Bogi too, Collins who should never have played with a finger like that before getting surgery... they are an example of how to ruin it all on several points

John Collins has entered the NBA's concussion protocol after a collision during Wednesday's matchup with the Knicks.

JC was re-evaluated on Thursday, and the team announced that "he will be monitored daily and his status will be updated as appropriate". The Hawks don't play again until February 24th when they host Cleveland. There's certainly a chance he's back for that game, but Saddiq Bey should get the start in his place if Collins isn't able to play, as we saw in his debut for the team on February 13th.
