Don't expect a Mac McClung victory tour.

Be nice to see him dunk in a real match but Doc ain't give him any mins. So there is that..

Doc does not want the league to see any tricks McClung has in his bag. Its 4D chess to secure the slam dunk trophy.

Ok, you have my attention Mac. Electric guard, can dribble, penetrate, assist, create and shoot. Also athletic, obviously.. Hopefully he gets some minutes on the floor so we see what he's made of.. Another Linsanity perhaps?

I'm convinced now, James Harden who? Embiid and McClung is THE DUO!

Harden and McClung wouldn't be a terrible fit in the back court actually. He could get some minutes if Maxey or Melton get injured.

That was awesome.

Might put some butts in the stands for the Blue Coats for a couple weeks.

Wearing Iggy’s number as a small guard that legit won the contest this time was a lot of karma flowing the right way. Congrats Big Mac!

Can't wait to see Doc's reaction when someone asks him at his next presser why Mac McClung didn't get any minutes.

Dude has a shorter wingspan than me that’s crazy lol. Though I’m a knuckle dragger but still

If he’s shooting keeps on improving then he should get a spot as a backup energy scorer off the bench but I can’t see a consistent role for him in the league imo.

Seriously, can he do anything besides dunk?

A kid with that kind of athleticism, if he can shoot a lick he has to find his way to the league at some point, doesn't he?

Of course he can do much more than that, the question is at what level can he do it? he can obviously shoot, but will he be able to get his shot off with his 7'10 standing reach against NBA length?

Of course? Then why is he stuck in the G-League?

Vertical is one of the most overrated athletic traits in terms of actual NBA play. He can obviously dunk well but I don't consider him even an average NBA athlete. He has no chance to defend and I think most average guard defenders would have little trouble keeping him in front of them.

If he couldn't do anything besides dunk, he wouldn't be in the G-League. Check out the Dunk League for people who just dunk. To make it in the G-League you have to be really, really good at basketball. Really, really good isn't good enough to make it in the NBA.

TJ McConnell is 6'1" with a 6'2" wingspan. But I'd say he's a better passer and a much better defender than Mac.

TJ has a 8'0.5 standing reach, McClung has a 7'10 standing reach, the difference is considerable.

Sorry, I assumed it was understood that by "can he play?" I meant at an NBA level. Isn't that what we're talking about here?
