Good signing but not really expecting much out of Love. As we've seen with Lowry, LMA , Blake Griffin when these old players have bad season its probably because they're washed.
Maybe Love can help maybe not, I hope we don't bash him if he doesn't.
As for the starting lineup, Gabe over Lowry. I'm undecided with Love over Caleb. Maybe for the first couple games stick with Caleb and switch to Love once he looks like he can actually produce.

Ibaka is nothing more then a paycheck collector these days using basketball to fund his cooking hobby. Zeller is actually going to come in here and work his ass off.

Ay man I just want that cooking show with Jimbo

I mean it’s clear as day what needs to happen with Lowry going forward

Lowry off the bench with Dipo it is

Let’s hope they both find their 3 ball

I'm hoping the entire roster does lol. They all suck at 3pt shooting this year it's insane and doesn't make sense. Spo small ball wearing them down, and not enough rim pressure for drive and kicks are my main guesses but still.

At least the team should be pretty fresh and actually get some practices in during the break.

Maybe I’m dumb, but I actually feel Love is going to have a significant role here and is going to play well.

Contract year, something to prove after being benched in a deep CLE frontcourt, has a skillset as a shooter/rebounder/passer/screener that fits very well with what we do.

Gabe as a starter (11 games):

15.9ppg
2.9rpg
2.9apg
0.9spg
35.8mpg
45.7% FG
36.9% 3FG (2.8 per)
92.9% FT

Dude has been playing very well as a starter and deserves to keep that spot.

Has he really? Or we just really disappointed in Lowry.

I think so too. His skillset been desperately needed I think his shooting from the corners will help our offense get back to what it was last season. His addition plus others getting back healthy puts everyone back in the natural positions and should have a positive impact on our offense.

I expect to see 25-28mpg or so from Love and once Yurt's back healthy he'll come in when he's off for the remaining 20-23mpg. They'll likely sprinkle in spot minutes for guys like Highsmith and Zeller in between.

Oh oh, you guys setting yourself up for disappointment this is a buyout signing not a quality player were getting. Please temper your expectations, I am looking forward to the game logs here with people saying freaking out when neither of them move the needle to get us wins.

Dang ICC, you been grumpy ever since your boy sold you out at the deadline. How about we just give it a chance and see if Love can really help this team.

least he couldve done is let us know that Zeller and Love were signing before Woj and Shams to make up for it. his sources hear all the convos "even if theyre wrong sometimes." them nuggz went stale asf

On an opposite note, we have a power forward and a capable backup center for the first time all season. Definitely noteworthy even if people want to be grumpy about it.

I’m ok with this move in the end. Even if Love doesn’t move the needle for us whatsoever, it increases the watchability of the team by a wide margin.

He may be a buyout guy I think Love has just wanted to be somewhere he can get solid rotation minutes over spot backup mins behind a 21yo that he's been getting currently. I think he could still have some productivity to give. He's not gonna play 36mpg anymore but his per 36 numbers are still 15.2ppg, 12.3rpg, 3.3apg. So something like 10ppg, 8rpg, 2apg is a reasonable expectation playing like 25-27mpg.

I think he'll definitely give us better offensive production than PJ Tucker did last season with a similar skillset and just having a guy that fits will make things much simpler for our guys on the offensive end.

We will have a PF that will play the role we need rather than Martin constantly pump faking at the 3pt line, driving into traffic only to kick it out to Strus or Herro with 5secs left on the clock to jack up a low percentage 3. Love will either take the open shot at a good percentage or keep the ball moving to find the open man leaving us with more time on the clock.
