How has he not been cancelled? I'm not a big cancel culture guy, but he definitely deserves it.

I think he knows he isn't welcome by most NBA fans who know. Jazz writers are even writing about his past this year, and he declined to have media availability if Salt Lake Tribune was present.

a lot of men are willing to forgive other men of things they've done against women. like isiah thomas is still a huge nba presence despite his past actions.

Being honest, I generally lean towards being more forgiving about past transgressions, but the dude effectively raped a twelve year old. Really not much ambiguity, it is pretty unbelievable that the NBA brought him back for anything.

Ah, yes, the NBA Legends Epstein Award.
Can't think of anyone more deserving

It's mind-boggling. It's not like it's an allegation; we know for an absolute certainty that he **** and impregnated a 13 year old girl.

In a sense he has been cancelled; he'll never get a job in the NBA (not that he seems to want one), but he's talked about in a way that suggests he never did what he did.

Well bob saget didn't get cancelled for raping and killing a girl in 1990 so why would Malone get cancelled?

Kobe's death was only 3 years ago. I saw how most of you behaved and continue to behave when anyone brings up what happened in Denver.
Those NBA fans should stop embarrassing themselves by talking about Karl Malone. Most of you have no right to do it.

Nobody deserves to be 'canceled'. That's mob justice. You have the justice system to sort out people like Karl. Sometimes it fails, but it's not the job of the rest of us to dish out mob justice.

OK, so maybe 'nobody' is a strong word. Some people probably deserve to be canceled. But I think we need a Ted Bundy or Harvey Weinstein threshold or it's going to get slippery really fast.

Imagine comparing adultery to a 20 year old man impregnating a 13 year old child. Go away.

I compared sexual assault with statutory rape.
Karl Malone is a PoS. Kobe was a little bit less of a PoS.
If you defend Kobe then you are are the one who is completely full of ****.

Yea, it’s astonishing that he hasn’t been effectively exiled from the NBA given his history. It’s not even a borderline case of whether the girl he raped was at the cusp of consent. Having sex with and impregnating a 13-year old is as unambiguous as it gets. And then you layer on top of that he abandoned several kids by denying his paternity. I thought it was wild he was still asked to participate in the All-Star weekend.

Also, you just proved my point by labeling what Kobe did as just adultery.
If Karl Malone won a couple of rings for the Lakers then you would just say that Karl Malone was not a bad guy. He was just bad at counting.

Umm what? One was a joke and the other was an actual rape and proven by the existence of a child?

I think we need to be able to separate the personal life of people from the players. Karl is an all-time good player and a really **** human being by most accounts. The all star game is to highlight great players, not great people. It wouldn't bother me if they left him out, but I also don't think it's wild that he's there given his NBA pedigree. This kind of thing used to come up with Michael Jackson and Roman Polanski - can you listen to his music or watch his films if you believe the accusations? To me the artist is separate from the person. You can celebrate the artist, and not the person.

The NBA is a good ole boys club. They don't care about ethics or character

That wasnt even close to being true at all. The entire thing was made up by comedian Gilbert Gottfried at at a show because of Sagets image from full house.

Usually I agree with this sentiment.....but not in this scenario.

Some things are alleged....but his story was proven. It's easy to forgive others such as Kobe or Michael Jackson because there is at least some proof they were innocent. NBA really dropped the ball here and I am shocked there isn't more of an uproar.
