The Magic would probably prefer to get the Bulls pick next season, not this season.

I have a feeling that if the Bulls collapse , there will talk of Vuc rejoining the Magic.

When you factor in the caliber of competition is stronger in Turkey than it is in France, Wembanyama isn't quite as insanely productive as Şengün was two years ago, but he's still a super elite prospect given the fact he is still extremely productive and has such insane physical gifts.

Wembanyama: 32.1 MPG, 22.2 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 2.3 APG, 0.9 SPG, 3.1 BPG, 2.5 TOV, 1.9 PF, .472 FG%, .289 3PT%, .811 FT% in the top level of the French League

Şengün: 28.2 MPG, 19.0 PPG, 8.7 RPG, 2.7 APG, 1.3 SPG, 1.8 BPG, 2.4 TOV, 3.1 PG, .632 FG%, .200 FT%, .794 FT% in the top level of the Turkish League

Victor is unquestionably worthy of a No. 1 pick. The only thing that would give me pause at all is the fact that guys that tall are usually just more susceptible to lower body injuries. But in terms of physical gifts + production - he checks every box.

This draft is deeper than next year's draft, and the chance the Bulls are this bad next season isn't a guarentee if Lonzo comes back.

Or the Bulls completely sell off their team, and bottom out and if we dont get the pick next year also, we end up with 2 2nds, which could happen too.

Either way, I want the pick this year. There's no benefit of waiting another year

If the Bulls are 1-4 and keep their pick is it over?
Or do the Magic get it next year (if so with what restrictions then)

The Magic are sitting pretty in the tank slot but the way things are going they could slip way down.
I think what really needs to happen is a fake Wendell Carter mystery injury so Bol can start again and the circus show can tank it out

If you get #1, you've got to take him but he does make me a little nervous, given his slender, extra-tall physique. I'm thinking everyone could, conceivably, slide down a spot. A big, physical WCJ playing a lot of PF next to Wemby & Isaac backing up both spots. Paolo plays more like an oversized 3 anyway...same old question at PG and how much time can Franz play at the 2 (or even, sometimes, PG?). THAT is a loooong, strong lineup.

Kind of hoping for #2, just to make it an easier fit. Scoot hasn't been a great shooter and, contrary to my Fultz rants of late, I think Scoot is fine because he WILL score, draw fouls and take 3's. Hopefully, he makes some more eventually, but step one is: Take them.

They will get the Bulls pick the following year.

I just read the ESPN piece on Victor. Thb it was impressive. He already competes with pros and he has been in this game for quite some time.

If we have the NO.1 pick, picking him is a no brainer. You just do not come across a talent like his.

The question is will we have a chance at NO.1 if we make the Play In

Imagine how nice it would be if Bulls finish #4 in the odds and we at #5, then comes the lottery, we jump to 1st pick and Bulls goes down to #5, because of that :)

Even better would be if they have 4th and we have like 12th and somehow jump up ;)

I can't believe people here think we even have an ounce of hope of landing Wemby

Why not? Currently we have 10.5% chance of getting the #1 pick... or are you suggesting the lottery is rigged?

That 10% chance will continue to dwindle as we start to win more games... and we will... as we should.

I'd be shocked if we selected even in the Top 5.

I feel like most magic fans would rather fight for a play in spot than tank for Wemby because winning for whatever is really important at the current moment.

Meh, we had a 1.5% chance of winning in the Penny Hardaway draft. LAL jumped from 11 to 4 and NOLA from 7 to 1 in 2019 which included the new odds. Anything is possible, if very unlikely.
