Quite possibly we offer the most playing time in the short term with injury issues to Lowry and Oladipo. At worst when everyone is healthy he gives us an emergency veteran presence at the end of the bench. With the playoff grind and his experience I see him being a very valuable insurance pickup.

Would be more than happy to bring Gogi in. He still has some game in the tank. Plus he’s already super familiar with the team.

Jimmy and Gogi together again just feels right.

As it stands we have one true healthy PG on the roster in Vincent with Bouyea’s 10 day up. It’s gambling waiting on a healthy return of Lowry and Oladipo and it’s gambling when they are playing considering injury history. With the front court bolstered up now it makes sense to get one more back court piece for the final run that will be playoff eligible.

Great find… so I assume both Love and Zeller are pro-rated amounts of the bi-annual and vet min, leaving space for possibly one more prorated vet-min… Dragic

Cats were so desperate for a signing they're excited over a 34yo Kevin Love lol

I don't think Love raises the team's ceiling at all. But it might raise the floor a little, and at least there's a fresh reason to watch now because the team was soo stale. It will be refreshing to see another shooter out there with some size that can rebound and pass. Just having some size will be nice to see quite honestly for me anyways. I'm sick to death of Spo's small ball nonsense.

I hear ya. I'm interested to see Love enter the fold. Happy to anticipate something different & pulling for him to perform well here to help us win games......but i'm also not expecting anything spectacular.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Definitely going to have space. The more days that go by the cheaper it gets. Can probably get him after waivers for like 485k.

If he's any where close to the way PJ Tucker was automatic from the corner 3 for us last year it's game changing for us.

Heat account needs to pump the fuxkin brakes lol. They’re acting like we just added peak Love, he should be a solid addition though

I do like that he would be a damn good piece on a contending team with 3 stars. Could be one of our Miller/Ray/Battier guys if we get a 3rd star this summer with Jimmy and Bam

Our trade deadline pieces were a 18 million dollar paper weight in Duncan Robinson and a hurt old PG in Lowry. I understand miracles happen but barring a massive over pay in picks to get involved in a trade I would say I completely get why nothing at all happened at the deadline.

I am done with the jimmy build spend all season playing half the games the ones he does play he gives half azz effort. I'm done with him, its not a fun season to watch, its a bad make up of a team. Herro is even worse in that department young but injury prone, plays zero defense and has yet to show me anything worth that contract in playoff atmosphere. Bam is definately on the up and up, but we have some ugly azz contracts keeping us from loading up good quality role players around the team in Kyle and Duncan. Jimmy works too damn hard to get his, its not conducive to a healthy body by the end of the playoffs. He also has ridiculous wear and tear on his body and bad knees. When this season is over, I hope we package him, Lowry, Duncan, Herro and all our picks in one massive overhaul get back young quality future proof players that fit around Bam.

Find it interesting that as soon as All Star break finishes, these interviews with Lillard and Chris Haynes (who's been Lillard's guy in the media for a while now) come out and these two conversations are what is released on his twitter.

One talking about the conversation with Garnett telling him that once KG left Minny to go to Boston he was happier and didn't realize what he was missing.

Then the second was that no one from Portland told him about the trade that was going down with moving Gary Payton Jr for Kevin Knox.

On top of this Portland also traded Josh Hart to NYK for Reddish and a 1st at the deadline.

Wonder if this Lillard dropping crumbs to justify his eventual move out of Portland.

Lillards that final piece we've needed to be legit contenders. A hungry, ringless vet scorer. I will run round nakid if we get Dame time.

Wouldnt be surprised if this is a reaction to Cody Zeller getting a NBA deal before him. Of course thats just a guess.

Completely different players though. When you want a role player for some tough defense off the bench, you dont add DMC.

EDIT- Can also be a reaction to Myers, especially since DMC played for MIL pretty recently.

Another player in the Michael Beasley territory never really put it together, always blamed everyone else. Had the wrong demeaner from day one, also had tons of skill for his size, would have been such an amazing player if he actually gave it all to basketball, and allowed himself to be coached.
