Wouldnt be surprised if this is a reaction to Cody Zeller getting a NBA deal before him. Of course thats just a guess.

Completely different players though. When you want a role player for some tough defense off the bench, you dont add DMC.

EDIT- Can also be a reaction to Myers, especially since DMC played for MIL pretty recently.

Another player in the Michael Beasley territory never really put it together, always blamed everyone else. Had the wrong demeaner from day one, also had tons of skill for his size, would have been such an amazing player if he actually gave it all to basketball, and allowed himself to be coached.

I remember him making an ASG then shortly thereafter tearing his achilles.

When he lost that top flight ability with the achilles, he just never developed as a role player. He doesn't have the skills to be complimentary and needs the ball to be effective.

Being a reaction to Leonard does makes more sense. He probably being told teams not interested because of his behavior off the court and then Myers gets a job when he's using slurs off the court.

I think anybody looking at it rationally could determine that we werent a great match for this trade deadline. Next year will look different with Lowry. We have 3 1st round picks to trade next year?

2023, 2028, and 2030. If we make a trade with OKC taking off protections on 2025 then we open up 2027 and 2029. Considering we don’t have a second till 2029 i don’t see us making a trade with OKC and just keeping the protections in place. Probably for our own good we keep 2025 secure. If we do well that year we pay the pick out and 2026 is freed up.

Him and AD really had something special going before he got injured.

If Embiid requests a trade, would you send Bam and a pick for him? I know you love Bam so I gotta get your opinion

Before the season yes, now idk. He’s another year older and I don’t trust his body much going forward. Dudes always hurt and Jimmy is getting older. They’d have to bring a 3rd star for me to be comfortable with it.

I’m tempering my expectations for Kevin Love. I see him filling the Ray Allen role for us, complete with an iconic corner 3 in an NBA Finals for the ages (that ends with Larry coming home).

In his defense though, he had a pretty decent season for the Bucks while he was there. 9 ppg on 46% shooting and almost 6 rpg in 16mpg is pretty good numbers for a backup. He should be somebody's 2nd string or at the very least 3rd string. He isn't as mobile as he used to be, of course....but Meyers Leonard and Cody Zeller are also not mobile, and Leonard couldn't defend a stopped car.

Cousins, Dwight Howard, and Hassan Whiteside have personality problems, but they are all decent enough to be 2nd string or 3rd string at worst.

The idea of Harden going back to Houston makes no sense to me. Unless he knows he's not getting near a max contract anywhere else and Houston have a ton of cap room to spend and all he wants is to get paid, then sure. But if he thinks he's going there and that team is going to compete he's crazy.

If it happened I wouldn't care because it would likely leave Philly in shambles next season even if they renounce all their free agents they would only be able to free up 13mil in salary. The following season they would have a completely clear cap sheet outside of having Embiid signed though.

Maybe he's giving up on rings and wants his last 4 year max. He'll retire developing the young rooks. He probably misses Houston (and the strip clubs )
