Should've had Stockton as the "Representative" and dunk judge.

Malone played for 19 seasons, so wouldn't that mean the NBA knew about this story for at least 19 years? Why wasn't he "punished" then?

Not surprising. There are still people in Hollywood that defend and celebrate Roman Polanski.

What is the league supposed to do there? There were no legal actions taken against malone. If Malone's lawyers just say "nope he didn't do it" what then? The league can't possibly require a paternity test for their records. They certainly can't take action against a star for not manning up as a father...imagine how many others that might impact. So what then?
Sure today, they can certainly not invite him to events. But not sure what they could have done when he had a contract and was playing.

Look up revised truths and facts about the Vax before you throw out terms like nut job. The pointing finger is starting to spin around.

It’s also the wrong question.
Even if the league could have/should have done something to punish him back in the day and made a mistake not doing so it doesn’t mean they can’t do the right thing now.

That really should be the end of it as far as us fans discussing basketball online are concerned, but nah because everyone on the internet feels "entitled" to hang on to hate over things that has nothing to do with them. With that being said, I hope to see more of Karl Malone. Like it or not he's still the greatest player in Utah Jazz history along with John Stockton. So he should get to be up there with the legends just like the rest of those legends.

collective outrage is kinda weird and a product of social media imo. Malone makes me feel icky so I dont watch him, ditto R. Kelly, makes me feel icky, but i feel sorry for him because of his story.... still not listening to him. you gotta judge each creep on their own mertits, blanket statements, then calling people hypocrites for their personal preferences is just as childish as blindly "cancelling" things/people.

This isn't digging up some decade-old joke to get Kevin Hart fired from hosting the Oscars. This is one of the most disgusting things an adult can do to someone. I hate cancel culture, too, but this isn't cancel culture. This is cutting ties with a predator.

like don’t say something controversial we will cancel you for that. but if you drown dogs, electrocute them, hang them from a tree, or feed house pets to fighting dogs for practice, we can forgive that. just don’t say the wrong word while you do it.

I don't understand why they didn't have Stockton do those events instead, maybe they asked and he didn't want to, I don't know.

I AM NOT SAYING WHAT HE DID ISNT HORRIBLE.... in no way, he is horrible so dont try to spin me as giving a pass. But in the 70's, 80, this issue wasnt as heated. Her family actually supported the relationship, witch in those days was common. The age gap is crazy to me but still happened often. One example, Melanie Griffith was 14 and Don Johnson was 22 when they started dating. She moved in with him when she was 15 years old, making him 23!! The **** happened and wasnt focused on in those times. Dont make it right, just makes it fact.
