They talked about the Nets. And there’s something that caught my attention.
They said Nets will struggle and mentioned something Doc River said, its just im not sure if Doc was directly talking about the Nets (probably post game?) but anyway..
37:30
“Doc rivers made an interesting point. Doc said It takes time for guys to learn how to play late in games. He went thru this when the clips went into reshuffling of players. You got a ton of talented young players, you dont have the those guys at the end of games who knows what they need to do and can hit those shots”
I really think he was intentionally trying to get our guys get used in close games. But now that we’ve made significant improvement, he’s more of trying to improve our bench starting with Maxey as the 6th man in order for us to play less close games.
Well can he stop? I think we've gotten a full years worth of close games against middling teams.
When we have a strong bench. Which started when we slide Maxey to the bench role and with addition of McDaniels and Dedmon.
This eventually would lead to games when Biid and Harden can take some games off as we head to the playoffs.
Celts are actually there. Tatum and Jb can take rests and they just work like a machine with Hauser, White, Brogdon and etc.

I would welcome Beverly. Iam not sold on Milton especially defensively. What do you guys think?

Middleton? Like Khris Middleton?
I think we need a back-up 6th man, which I think we’re looking at McClung for now.
We need consistent scoring or improved scoring from our bench. Preferably someone who can initiate drive and draw offense. Celts got 2-3 guys who can do that with Derrick White, Brogdon and Pritchard.
If we can’t get that then we just adjust Niang and Tobi’s minutes on a case to case basis where Tobi helps our bench unit by playing less with starters and Niang just plays 3&D with Biid and Harden by playing more with starters.
If we can have an elite bench, it would solidify our position as a contender.

Re: Quick stat snapshot of where the Sixers are after 3 games
The Sixers are:
* 20-10 against .500 or better teams.
* 7-3 in games decided by 3 points or less.
* Have blown just 2 double-digit, second-half leads all year.
* 25-3 when leading at halftime. <= from Derek Bodner

Its by design.

Sorry this phone auto corrected. I was trying to say not sold on Milton come playoffs. Bev could be better

Re: Quick stat snapshot of where the Sixers are after 3 games
My 8 options to improve bench that will decrease our frequency of close games down the stretch.
Option 1: Milton to increase scoring from 5ppg to 10ppg
Option 2: McDaniels to increase scoring from 5ppg to 10ppg
Option 3: Maxey to revert back to his 22ppg self like in first two months of the season
Option 4: Play Melton more with second unit, either run 3 guard unit with Maxey, Milton and Melton or run Milton more with starting and Melton more with bench
Option 5: Tobias playing more with bench while Niang play more with starting
Option 6: Inject steroid at Montrezl every game
Option 7: Stagger Biid and Harden where we play Harden with Maxey
Option 8: Embiid not going after scoring record where he has to play major minutes to achieve it
Option 1: Milton to increase scoring from 5ppg to 10ppg
Option 2: McDaniels to increase scoring from 5ppg to 10ppg

This is the right option. Don't think we will see it.

He is a starter while he can pad his stats with the bench.
Maxey
Milton
Tobias
McDaniels
Reed
I dont see any bench unit without their top 2 player, that can match that

2021-2022
Post ASB record
Celtics took it to another gear and had league best 17-5 record.
Warriors only had 11-12 record, and they end up winning the championship. Ended up Third place in the west.
*Sixers 16-8

Corner 3 Tobias
Left Corner 29%
Right Corner 50%
Now you know why he’s always at the right corner
