I'd welcome Dragic back for the feel good story value he would bring to the season.

There are worser ways to cope.

That said, Chi is cutting him because they deem Bev to be better.

Mia should of just gone for Bev instead if the idea is to improve the roster.

If improvement is secondary to the 'feel good story' at this point, though, then welcome home Goran.

It also looked this way during team USA. I think it's clear they are really close and I wouldn't be surprised IF Dame finally asks out, that playing with Bam and Jimmy becomes one of his top options. He won't want to be behind a flashy name like Giannis or Bron and would effectively be the headliner here which also works with his image.

I personally don't know how I feel about it, but it seems to make a ton of sense as the final iteration of the Jimmy window before the books get wiped in 2026.

He said after team USA he wanted to play with a player like Bam. I would love it.

Mitchell Jimmy and Tatum are opting out in the summer of 2025 and joining Bam in Miami, Jimmy will take a team friendly deal to win a championship. Bam will get his Supermax the following summer

If I was Miami I would really start marketing Bam better and more frequently than they do now, especially in comparison to "Boy Wonder." Not only is he taking the leap, he's also our best recruiter. He should be top priority for the Heat considering he made some passive aggressive remarks about the team this season including that 1 shot at Jimmy+Kyle.

I do agree the team should start marketing Bam a little more, but comparing it to Herro isn’t fair. Bam comes off as someone who’s low key and doesn’t really do any sponsorships outside of Jordan Brand. With Herro he does a number of things off the court which makes him more marketable.

Agreed 100%. Have been complaining about how terrible the marketing has been for awhile now. They’ll start pushing the Bam DPOY agenda when there’s like 5 games left this season

I'm also not quite sure what people are expecting. You go to the team's site and Bam's picture is heading the season ticket membership. You go to their twitter and they're documenting everything they can pertaining to Bam at All Star weekend. Same thing on IG. Spo admittedly is not one that does a lot of promoting and Bam doesn't self promote much. Maybe guys can get ICC to get in touch with his inside man who should certainly know somebody in the team's marketing department and they can ask the question.

Nobody thinks Love is the same player he was. It's really simple, Miami didn't even have a PF on the roster and has played undersized all season long at PF, Love just happens to fit the role they need, size, rebounding, corner 3s, even if he's utilized like Leonard was it gives Spoelstra options he didn't have with this season. Cleveland basically gave Miami the type of player they've needed all year long for the first 3 1/2 quarters of the game. Miami has Bam, Butler, Oladipo, Martin, Vincent, Lowry and Highsmith to go with a nearly all defensive lineup for the last few minutes of a game. Even with Lowry, taking a well-timed charge call can really help the team out.

After overpaying Love to keep him as an asset, it wasn't a positive move to buy him out, they should have just sent him home unless he saved them a good amount of money.

Bam needs to show he is a go too scorer on the big stage. You need the national media to talk about him. If shows he can be a scorer in the playoffs the national media will take care of the rest

Bam needs to be told by Spo. Unfortunately, Spo will most likely (once again) end up prioritizing the offensive opportunities of Butler, Herro, Gabe and Max above Bam's. Jimmy is understandable. You could make a case for Herro as well (given the match-up), but the rest is simply bs.

Our shot distribution should (ideally) have Jimmy, Bam, and Herro all taking around 16-18 shots a night. Instead, in the playoffs you'll probably see Butler and Herro at around 18, with Bam at 12, Max at 11, and Gabe at 10. Lols.

Playoff FGA:

Jimmy: 20
Bam: 18-20
Herro: 15
Love:12

Spos idea:

Strus: 23
Herro: 23
Gabe: 18
Martin: 14
Jimmy: 11
Love: 10
Dipo: 10
Lowry: 10
Zeller: 8
Bam: 6

Spo calls it equal opportunity, we call it incompetence.

It’s unfortunate being one of 5 players in the world averaged over 20-10 on 50% shooting from the field while arguably being the best all around defender in the world doesn’t get you much clout at all

What I would like to see is Jimmy(18), Bam(18), Herro (16), Kevin(10), Max(8), Gabe(8).

At this point they might be missing shots because Jimmy and Bam are in their heads lol

At least we have a real outlet passer now and not Lowry just chucking it to Jimmy hoping for the best and putting him in damn near injury situations every time

When your top players don’t shoot 3s, you will always have to rely on inconsistent role players to do it.

a harsh reality. I was hoping Bam might try to incorporate that but he's right on pace for his career high of 15 attempts on the season, I have given up hope for Jimmy but maybe in the next year or two Bam will shoot it a little bit more.

Return to Miami Heat
