Best of luck kid, best years are still ahead of you. I do think he’ll be back in the league, seems to work hard.

Re: Price: Magic Waive G RJ Hampton
Roster now currently has 14 guaranteed contracts and 1 two-way contract.
Two available spots if they want to use them.

Remember when peoble here were claiming he is our SG of the future, just because he had a decent last month in the regular season, where most teams are tanking and no defense is played at all
Nevermind, good luck young fella. Hope he realizes he will never be a playmaker or lead guard, and concentrates on becoming a solid 3-D player.

I really wish he lands in a great spot. So sorry he didn’t work out here. I am not sure what happened this season because he was doing well with the minutes he got. He still need development and I hope a team pick him up.

100% correct. He will be playing in China if he can’t let go of being a lead guard.

The talent is still there. His development didn't go great here, but I still see the possibility of being a really solid guard of the bench for a team.

Perhaps K-Harris will have a contract upgrade now.

Re: Price: Magic Waive G RJ Hampton
There was absolutely a time in my life I thought Hampton was better than Cole Anthony.
His development just plateaued. He's still young and has time on his side, but he doesn't really have a firm position.
Too wild to be a point guard, not comfortable enough without the ball to really be a shooting guard. He's a 1.5 right now.
And that's ok! Suggs is also a 1.5, but Suggs has elite defense to keep him on the floor while he figures out what he's going to be offensively. Hampton didn't/doesn't really have that.

Re: Price: Magic Waive G RJ Hampton
*sigh* after that tanking season before we acquired Suggs and Wagner, I really thought RJ was gonna be part of our future especially that Rookie of the Month performance he had... ah well...

Doesnt DET also have a surplus of guards? Why would RJ go there?

Maybe he really is 6'6 right now and is marketing himself as a 3&D wing.

Best of luck to him.
Never really saw it with him. Looked like Westbrook in high school then attacked the rim with the ferocity of Bamba when he got to the league outside of maybe 3 highlight plays. Hopefully he gets another decent pay day at some point.
