he's an ok 3 PT shooter but he's a terrible selfish player who plays no defense, has tunnel vision and sure he is Kobe despite being old and not very good to begin with

you absoultely do not want him on the Bucks, he's a liability on the court, a net negative and is also a chucker and loser
The Bucks are stacked, you don't want him taking mins from better players like Ingles or pat or whomever

No, I want him on the Bucks, because we desperately need someone off the pine who can come in and actually generate his own looks off the bounce when situations call for it. It's the one gaping hole in our roster and it was painfully evident in last year's series vs. Boston.

I'm not worried about his defense, we have enough on that end of the floor to mitigate his shortcomings. There are just too many lineups with players who lack offensive versatility, having a guy like Barton to take some of the pressure off as a creator would help.

I get the rationale and it makes perfect sense and Bucks could def use a such a player who can take the pressure off, create in a pinch and get some buckets and I understand why u think Barton can be that guy because on paper - that's about his only NBA skills (in theory) but he's just bad, he is not a good player. very low i.q, he's not gonna be that guy for u

like i said he's a loser
the Bucks plan to win and have as good a shot as anyone imo, but Barton isn't gonna help with that he is allregic to winning :)

Right, it's not like you haven't seen me pine for a shot creator over and over and over again for the last two years, but sure, I just want everybody on the team.

ok, you're an exception.

Mavs or Suns could use the depth. He’s not a bad option for 15mpg off the bench.

We know he’s going to the Lakers though.

Doubt the Bucks want someone who hardly even tries to fight over a screen.

Barton,Cousins,Forbes,Campazzo,Morris,Green that was Denver's play off rotation last season yikes and people are criticizing Jokic for a "lack" of play off success  No other player could lead that bunch to the post season except Jokic. The only player who is alright on that list is Morris, I think he would be helpful for Denver this season too, but the rest , my god

No defense chuckers are blegh and unwanted and losers, until they find the right situation, and breathe new life into their careers. We've seen it over and over and over again in this league. Jordan Clarkson, JR Smith, Lou Williams, Jamal Crawford, etc. Hell Milwaukee has one on their roster in Bobby Portis. Is Barton that guy? Probably not. If your cost to find out is a partial season contract, an already empty roster spot, and you look at the rest of what's available? We call that a low risk high reward situation, and if it doesn't work out, buh bye.

Barton’s that player who shoots when he should pass and passes when he should shoot.

Hint not a good one.

Moving goalposts methinks.

Nope I am not. He is terrible. I hate streaky players who shoot average or under average percentages. The variances is what kills. You can’t rely on his shot. Give me a an average shooter who shoots average. If that makes any sense to you.

That is literally how three point shooting works. By your logic, you hate every player that has ever existed. A three point shot is a high variance shot with a high reward.

Curry is the best three point shooter in history, and yet he'll have entire playoff series where he shoots subpar from three (like last year against Memphis where he shot 33% in 6 games).

The guy doesn't belong to the nba which is why he got bought out by one of the most directionless teams.

I dont think he would be the 10th man in Boston

I see us having

3 bigs in Rob, Al, and Mascula
3 wings in JT, JB, Grant
3 guards in Smart, White, Brogdan

I dont see Barton coming in and jumping the 4th stringers that have worked all year to earn their spots.

I dont have Barton ahead of Pritchard or Hauser and he wouldnt compete for mins with Blake or Kornet

My guess is the twolves, the rumor is that Connelly protected him his entire time in Denver and he needs all the protection he can get against a coach that wants to win.

You can tell who watched Barton and who watched highlights in this thread. He has great highlights, but I hope he gets nowhere near the Nuggets again.

Is this because of his defense? I’ve heard the Kings name brought up and the Jordi Fernandez connection w their time in Denver.

His team down 2 points he starts playing hero ball until they are down 20 or on his 1 out of 10 or so games he will get them back ahead. Last shot he is taking it if he gets the ball with less than 24 seconds left, but he is not clutch.

His defense was dependant on his athleticism which was destroyed by injuries.

The one good thing about Barton is his irrational confidence, he always believes his team is the best and he is the best player on the team which is great for young developing teams. Yes even on a team with Jokic.

That puts him at the coveted 14th man spot. Meaning he'd be ahead of Gallinari for as long as Gallinari is injured.
