On the other end of the Horizon League spectrum, what the hell happened to UWGB? They are pitiful.

Re: 22/23 College Basketball
Indiana - Indiana - ranked #21 storming the court is hilarious. I don't care if it's Purdue and the #1 team.
I don't want to say they shouldn't do it, because it's kids and they should have fun. But it's hilarious.

Re: 22/23 College Basketball
Boeheim
"This is an awful place we're in in college basketball," he said. "Pittsburgh bought a team. OK, fine. My [big donor] talks about it, but he doesn't give anyone any money. Nothing. Not one guy. Our guys make like $20,000. Wake Forest bought a team. Miami bought a team. ... It's like, 'Really, this is where we are?' That's really where we are, and it's only going to get worse."
He added: "It's crazy. That's why those guys got out -- that's why Jay [Wright] got out, Mike [Krzyzewski] got out. That's the reason they got out. The transfer portal and everything is nuts. It really is."
Boeheim said Syracuse has taken a smattering of players from the transfer portal to accentuate its roster -- he mentioned Cole Swider; his son Jimmy Boeheim; and current reserve guard Symir Torrence. He said there was "no money involved" in those transfers, but also stressed that it's legal what the other schools are doing.
"We didn't take [many] transfer portal guys," he said. "If we did do it and did whatever we had to do, I wouldn't feel that good about that. These other [coaches], it doesn't bother them."
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

UWGB is 2-22 with a 14 game losing streak, just sent the UWM (a good team) game into OT

UWM has been embarrassingly awful this game. They literally chose not to foul up 3 with only 5 team fouls and like 5 secs left. Literally an all time stupid sequence.

Re: 22/23 College Basketball
Brandon Miller (probable lottery pick) apparently provided a gun to Darius Miles (not that one) who committed murder.
The murder is old news, but this story is new.
Miller isn't getting charged due to the law, evidence, something...I don't know.
Nate Oats with an incredible quote:
Alabama coach Nate Oats was asked about the police testimony Tuesday and said that Alabama's basketball program had known about Miller's alleged presence since the shooting happened and had cooperated with police.
“It’s sad. We knew about that — can’t control everything anybody does outside of practice," Oats said. "Nobody knew that was going to happen. College kids are out, Brandon hasn’t been in any type of trouble or is in any type of trouble in this case. Wrong spot at the wrong time.”

Watertown's finest. What a dope.

Re: 22/23 College Basketball
What happened with Tennessee/TAMU that it's still in regulation and the game is a full half hour past its scheduled end?

I don't understand how Miller isn't an accessory to murder.

From reading people back and forth online, it appears he somehow plausibly can claim he didn’t know what it was being used for or the fact that he gave it to someone who gave it to someone else.
I think both of these are flimsy given the texts and the fact that he blocked the victim’s car, but that’s about all I got.
Seems ridiculous.

I wonder what the NBA/PA can do/wants to do here. Probably nothing and kid will be a top 10 pick with no consequences. Kind of sickening guys like him and Miles Bridges will be young stars in the league next year.
He showed up to a bar with his friends gun, not to get him out of the situation but to escalate it. Him parking his car to block the exit was direct involvement in my mind, if not legally. No idea how he didnt at least get suspended by the university

I'm sure there's a lot of technicality stuff here + just the short duration of things.
It sounds like Alabama law might be a bit flimsy here and I'm sure the school, somewhat reluctantly is going to "let it play out" and Oats obviously will.
In both cases, I'm sure the hope was that the investigation, even if the details were pretty damn obvious, wasn't going to finish clarifying until mid/late March.
Miller has 3-4 weeks left with Alabama I'd imagine. I'm sure Oats would be happy to say, "oh yeah we probably would've done something but the related legal proceedings were still happening" in like May when Miller is declaring for the draft.
