They need to wipe the board clean and come up with a new program all together.

It’s almost like fans don’t give a **** when the players clearly don’t.

Pat yourselves on the back current generation of stars. As if you don’t get enough load management days already.

Watch a couple of minutes of this and compare it to that abomination on the weekend to see how far this game has fallen over the years.

I must say though I'm a bit shocked. I mean, if watching a bunch of uncompetitive load managing primadonnas in the regular season is fun, watching a bunch of uncompetitive load managing primadonnas in an exhibition game has to be amazing.

Watching the NBA All-Star game is like watching a Marvel movie, you know its all green screen and CGI....
I'm so tired of the typical......

The only interesting thing about the all-star game is in person. Watching the guys warm up and stuff would be a fun experience...If you're watching it on TV, it's a complete waste of time.

Don’t get the Silver hate either. Is he the one on the court not giving any effort? Why do the players need a commissioner to force them to do their jobs?

What is uncompetitive about the RS? This is the most competitive RS in years, especially in the west...

If I wanted to watch guys shoot halfcourt shots and play no defense I could go to the YMCA.

The regular season doesn’t matter anymore. Stars sit out games, a 73 win team loses to a 55 win team, a 57 win team beats a 67 win team, and we’ve seen teams like the Jazz and Suns have the best record in the playoffs and then fold in the playoffs. The Bucks folded in the playoffs when they had the best record in the NBA and then they won it all when they had the 7th best record.

The all-star game has always meant less than the regular season, and now the regular season has never meant less. If star players don’t care about the regular season, then why should I care?

I would much rather watch a 1v1 HORSE tournament with 8 Allstars. Curry vs Dame, Giannis vs Embiid, Lebron vs KD, etc, and the winners play through. Who wouldn't want to see that?

The RS being competitive doesn't necessarily mean the individual players are. Especially when players are missing time with hangnails and the like.

Lol & they chose Indiana next year

What would that have to do with viewership? How does where it's held affect how many people watch on TV?

Who gives a damn where the game is actually held. Like are there people actually who will go "oh boy, the All Star game is in LA, I gotta watch it now! I didn't watch it when it was in Cleveland or Salt Lake, but I can't wait to see those three seconds exterior shots of downtown LA and the Hollywood sign!"

Unfortunately there actually are. Anytime you have something in LA or NYC there's the potential for celebrities to be in attendance and having celebrities still can generate more eyeballs/pageclicks then not having celebrities. I imagine it would also be a big deal when(not if) the all-star game goes back to Vegas or if Miami ever wanted to host the game as well. It wouldn't surprise me if they ignore the Bucks bid for the game in '25 just to bring it back to LA. Look at the game's ratings when it's in LA compared to when it's not in LA. I personally wouldn't give it to LA next year but in '25 so they could show off the Intuit Dome when it opens.

I didn't watch because I don't have cable (ESPN/TNT).

I have to say, even as somebody who has never quite gotten how people get upset over anything involving what at the end of the day is a meaningless exhibition, it's gotten to be pretty much unwatchable. I don't expect anybody to treat it like a real game with actual stakes, but watching guys throw down 100 dunks before nobody's even thinking about defense just isn't entertaining. And that's before you get to all the ridiculous overproduction and endless gimmicks.
