You would not only lie about it, but do so while keeping a straight face and being "virtuous" about it...

Yeah it's still too early to thump chests. Need to wait until college.

That is from one mock draft for the 2024 draft. He is still not a top 20 HS recruit.

lol it means they wanted a big name in their top 10 so they could get clicks. the only possible way he even sniffs the top 10 is if a team is confident they can sign lebron if they take bronny. he's not close to a top 10 kid on his own merits.

Davion Mitchell went pick 9 and the archetype is similar.

the archetype is similar, but the game most certainly isn't. davion mitchell playd three years of college and was proven as a facilitator, shooter and defensive wizard. bronny is still having trouble scoring double figures against elite HS competition while his team is losing games and he's struggling to make an impact defensively.

I really have no major thoughts on Bronny right now. But this mock draft thing is hilariously transparent. It’s the same thing for that Ringer thing that predicted the all star team 5 years from now and included Bronny.

This ESPN article has Bronny as the picture, has Bronny in the title and headline, and has a section in the article all about him. This is 100% a clicks generated thing. If you take away Bronny from this, I bet this 2024 nba mock draft gets 1% of the clicks (I’m being generous when I say that %).

Then when it does come to Bronny as a prospect, where is this major growth to have him sky rocket up these rankings? He’s averaging 13ppg, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game this year on an underperforming Sierra Canyon team. Usually when guys sky rocket up rankings (being a guy ranked around the 40s and 50s to now being predicted a top 10 pick is a massive jump in my opinion) there is usually pretty easy things to track. With Bronny all I see is normal progression.

So, you guys think owners don't care about clicks, attention, dollars? Let's say Sacto is in the lottery and Bronny is on the board is Vivek just gonna be like nah, I've crunched the raw and advanced stats and Imma pass on getting all the attention that comes with drafting this kid.

No what the majority of people are interested talking about on here is discussing how good a player is. For instance if Im going to bring up Jared McCain, Im not going to bring up his TikTok following. Because I dont give a crap about it and I know the majority of people on here dont give a crap about it.

If a recruiting site wants to bump up Bronny for clicks, go for it. If a NBA team wants to drastically overreach and take Bronny early because what it can mean about getting LeBron on their team and the overall marketing for that team, cool go for it. And youre more than free to talk about that angle with Bronny. I just think the vast majority of people on here (not talking for all and not talking as a mod here) understand the marketing angle with Bronny and care more about just evaluating him on what he can do on the court.

If you end up drafting Bronny just the revenue purposes, you'll get some revenue but after the sparkle has come and went away, you'll end up with no impact on the bottom line of your team.

Just fool's gold.

Man, why do these kids get involved with that stuff. They should know better. Someone in his circle failed him.

not too shabby for a kid who will only make the league because of his father.

Yeah he's been jumping up ranks this season. At this rate he's going to be a 5 star recruit
