Great game from my guys out of the long week. Nice to see Allen is feeling himself after shooting double digits off the bench in the ASG.

Let’s keep the streak going my guys. Zion continues to lead this team to victories, and the brodie Russ puts in a solid performance with 17pts, 11rebs, 2stls and 2blks on 50% shooting in just 27 minutes. Small sample size, but opponents are averaging just 82ppg when Gobert and DFS are in the starting lineup.

Alabama basketball star Brandon Miller provided gun in deadly shooting: Police

The gun used in a deadly shootout in Tuscaloosa, Ala., last month involving Alabama men’s basketball players was brought to the location of the shooting by freshman star Brandon Miller, according to law enforcement testimony at a preliminary hearing on Tuesday.

According to police, Miller was asked to bring his gun to teammate Darius Miles and another man, Michael Lynn Davis, on Jan. 15. Miles and Davis are facing capital murder charges after they allegedly opened fire at a car and killed 23-year-old Jamea Jonae Harris in an area called “The Strip,” near the University of Alabama campus.

When Miller got to the scene, Miles told Davis, “The heat is in the hat,” and “There’s one in the head,” referring to the gun having arrived with a round in the chamber, Det. Brandon Culpepper testified.

Miles, 21, admitted to police he gave Davis, 20, the gun.

Miller’s windshield was hit twice by gunfire, according to testimony.

Miller, the leading scorer for the No. 2 Crimson Tide and a projected 2023 NBA Draft lottery pick, is not facing charges nor any team discipline. He played Saturday in a 108-59 win over Georgia, contributing 21 points.

Miles admitted to police that he gave Davis the weapon that Davis used to open fire on Harris

“It’s sad,” Alabama coach Nate Oats said of Miller’s alleged involvement. “We knew about that — can’t control everything anybody does outside of practice. Nobody knew that was going to happen. College kids are out, Brandon hasn’t been in any type of trouble or is in any type of trouble in this case. Wrong spot at the wrong time.”

Even if he avoids being prosecuted — which is likely, I wouldn’t be surprised if this causes his stock to fall. This whole ordeal reflects poorly on his character. He’s been projected to go as high as 3rd overall in some mocks.

Sounds like a perfect pick for the BAF Toronto RapSheeters :D

Brook fitting in nicely I see.

I think Brook and Patrick are the sleepers for me becoming legit. Patrick was averaging around 11 points per game in less than 25 minutes for the Suns. Bumping him up to 34 - 38 should provide another very efficient scoring option. Brook was getting 14 points a game in 30 minutes with the Bucks. His defense and offense is welcome after moving Dray.

I think Hoffa missed the boat on his criticism of Brook. Since I moved our defense off of switch, he has not fouled out of a game.

If there is a developer playing in this game ( league ), they should bow out for incompetency. Seeing the rankings before everyone else is a extremely unfair advantage.

They have zero excuse for not winning this thing every season; other than they are not worth a **** at it

I have the SIM also. But its a advantage open to all players willing to spend the money. I have never created a league with my team/players; but I do see the rankings by creating a quick league.

Its not that big of a advantage if your commish is quick to post the rankings. This year I had already traded Bey ( 2.5 or 3 stars ) for Okoro ( 1.5 stars ) before I bought the Sim. I sill might of done it since I got a 1st round pick too; but I might have pushed for an additional 2nd.

I really like diving into real world NBA stats to build my team. The SIM rankings sometimes help me confirm my thoughts; and sometimes they really mess with them :dontknow:

don't get me wrong, i don't think what you're doing is unfair or anything since we all are free to buy the game ourselves. i personally try to play the game like a real gm and scout players irl and hope it plays out in the long term sim wise. it's a lot more fun and challenging imo. so far it's worked and got me in the finals twice lol

I use my knowledge, NBA Stats Knowledge, Basketball Reference Stats knowledge, StatsMuse Knowledge, and the SIMs Stats knowledge. Its the modern game and using all avenues of scouting, from money ball to the eye test, are fair game for NBA GMs and their scouting departments.

Well we barely survived the Wizards, but we lost Bridges to a concussion for a week. Simmons flirts with the triple double and fouls out, the new norm.

He averaged 6 ppg last year in the Euroleague and he's up to 13 PPG now. Dude's been dunking on people and actually hitting jumpers plus he says he wants to come back to the league. If he comes back I'm expecting him to be a sim monster with a high DEF.
