That being said, he's merely decent to good at everything and nothing is exceptional so to me he projects as an average NBA starter with upside. I absolutely take him in the top 8 in this draft, possibly top 5.
Same sort of review people were giving for Franz Wagner back in 2021
Wagner showed a huge jump from year 1 to year 2, especially in his passing. Franz also had more steals and faced a lot better competition.
Franz's stats shows higher bbiq, while Taylor's shows a little more athleticism. Franz had better length I think.
No doubt he has upside to develop further being so young which is why I take him in the top 8, especially because his floor is a rotational player and his midrange outcome is NBA starter which is a lot better than most lottery picks.
He would have to take a decent leap to become a Franz like prospect.
Also, a player who goes from decent to great between year 1 and 2 is a better prospect than one that goes from good to great which is why Franz was such a good prospect who was very undervalued.
I feel Taylor's likely ceiling is around top 40 or 50 player, but who knows he could hit his 99th percentile outcome instead of his 85th.
