I mean he's not wrong but idk about a role player saying this. Even Simmons "holding the team back" contributed more than what Niang does.

What does his role have to do with anything though? He's saying that having a max contract player out and their being no certainty on any timeline for him coming back; and it was up and down, maybe he does maybe he doesn't, that was disruptive. Yea, of course it was.

I mean, Simmons didn't play... So, he did handicap them from a cap / flexibility standpoint... But he also didn't from an on the court production standpoint... Sixers really need to get Simmons' name out of their mouth.

They made him the scapegoat for everything...

I would t be surprised if they blame him again this year when the Tri-Force of choke activates and they get bounced early

They don't like each other.

Niang is a pretty respectable 6th man who comes off the bench and gives you a 60% TS% at 9-10PPG. Explain how Simmons sitting on the bench making 30M did more

They had a max contract player refusing to play for a majority of the year. Of course thats gonna come up when talking about how they did that season. Thats not a scapegoat thats reality.

Just for fun... Georges Niang has never missed a free throw in 35 playoff games.

To be fair, I'm not sure if Simmons has missed (*Cough taken) a free throw in his last 35 games.

This does raise the question if Ben Simmons playing at his current level has value. Arguably he did when playing with Kyrie/Durant. It could be a matter of finding the right situation where his lack of scoring hurts less than the pluses he gives on passing/defence.

A year later and when talking about their team last season? Seems pretty relevant. No way one can expect them to not still talk about it. Do Nets fans not talk about Harden's time there at all anymore, even when discussing their previous teams?

I mean seriously now...If George i refuse to learn his first name Niang takes shot at you....I mean where is your spine at this point?

Ben Simmons lacks something major in my opinion....He seriously lacks anger..Dude is just pitying himself at this point instead of absorbing all this crap and just going all out.

Like where the **** is the anger dude? You gonna let Niang talk smack....Might as well retire after the conract expires.

Like dude if i was a player and i listened to a clearly inferior talent talk smack to me i'd go bonkers on him next time we faced.

And Yes NIANG is clearly an inferior talent to Simmons. It's all mental with Ben.
