They would if they get Wemby. Look at their roster cap. Tillman has them operating at 62 million right now. Imagine if Harden and another star decided to go there.

Who, Shake? There are no other stars available. Unless you think Harden is eager to join up with Kyrie again.

No chance he ends up back in Houston. I think this is complete nonsense story.

Harden was one of the worst employees imaginable for the Rockets just like...2 years ago. Why they hell would they want him back? Especially an even older and less effective version of him?

If we give Maxey a $30M per year contract, we deserve everything bad that happens to us. We are talking about a guy that is below league average in TS%, below average defender AT BEST, not a primary distributor, negative RPM, etc.

51 million over the cap next season. Harden makes 35.

Ugh! Gotta get rid of Tobi.

The Rockets have a number of draft picks and young assets to use in a trade to bring in talent not to mention almost two max slots open. They have an incredible amount of room to get better especially if the French dude is drafted

The nets might blow it up. The picks the rockets own are more valuable to them than to other teams. They could make a trade for Claxton and Haliburton. Add Wemby and Harden and that’s a defensive nightmare with offensive punch and lob threats galore. They would still have their own picks too. James needs to step up in the post season though if he is looking for any kind of max from any team. The only thing that matters right now is this year.

The Nets won't blow it up man. They are literally a perfect team for 1 Superstar to win a ring

No superstar wants to deal with Bum Simmons, Nets should trade him first.

The last Thinking Basketball pod is basically an extensive discussion on Harden as a player and his value. Great stuff.

Finally this franchise did one thing right, which is the Harden trade.

James is playing damn near perfectly recently. Even with his hot streak, playing off ball and Joel and being an efficient second option. But impressive to see him take advantage of this mismatches so well.

Harden playing so well will only make it sadder if he leaves after this year.

Well he plays so well in the playoffs... I don't see him leaving because they're probably paying.

I'm also heard lots of news regarding him being more interested in short-term deals so that he maybe can end up in Houston later. I can see another one and one or two in one

I think all the Rockets stuff is to build a moat around the Fanatics tamper castle.

I feel like he most definitely won't get the max if we don't make the ECF bare minimum. His performance during the playoffs will go along way in determining that.

I'd say it would suck if he leaves especially given that he's really gotten back to Brooklyn Harden for sure. Silver lining is a lot more capspace to put some good young player and defense around Embiid and then make Maxey the star 2 guard in the starting lineup. For me it's a win win. If Harden leaves, there could be a chance that Embiid asks out, we'll see though.

Man harden ain’t going back to no damn Houston no time soon! This is all horse **** talk! Harden will be right in Philly the next 3 years winnin championships because as deadly as this harden embid combination been it’s really only year one of it! So just imagine how much better it’ll be even next year as harden has clearly been putting in the work on his body to get that burst and stop n go irky jerky game back! The sixers are in great hands regardless though as long as we got embid!!!!

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
