He's a dick and easy to hate... But he'd be perfect on this team in place of PJ.

He's the Grizzlies version of Niang. In fact, I was secretly hoping that they would go at it last night. Well they almost did if Embiid wasn't there to intervene.

The crazy corner 3 Harden sank after Tobias passed up the same corner 3 to take a couple dribbles along the baseline into the teeth of the defense and meekly passed the ball back to Harden was garbage. He did that several other times too.

If Harden doesn't bail him out (on that particular play and overall) the narrative is rightly Tobias' crap game.

Yes. Tobias does stuff that a good rotation player on a good playoff team would do given the context (Joel, Harden & Maxey), but at the same time he still hasn't gotten rid of the tank commander behavior.

I was scoreboard watching last night, but I knew with all my heart that we would rally and become victorious!

That was a great comeback Harden willed them offensively and Embiid defensively. I question rather Tobias and Maxey will be up for task of stepping up when it counts consistently enough. They dissappear alot when needed and the offense luls. That's why I wouldn't mind adding a Barton who adds size , some slashing and spot ability with a little bit of ball handling on the peremiter...

I think Tobi had 7 or more points in the 4th, and Maxey 4 and was big in the 3rd. That's more than you'll get from a bunch of 3 & D role players like Barton. Everybody contributed in this game.

Yeah, in praising Tobias earlier I commented that he needs to just take the 3 when it's there - if Harden doesn't bail him out with that crazy shot we might have had a different result. He has accepted his role well, but in the biggest spots can he be counted on to not resort to his instincts? That's an important question going into the playoffs.

Judging by last year, he can maintain in the first round; and then immediately reverts to trashball tank commander in the second round.

Why does this team find theirselves falling into huge holes every other game that they have to scratch and claw their way out of? Where were they in the first half when Embiid was struggling and the team was down double digits? Not sure that will work in a playoff series against the bucks or celtics (going down huge leads because guys are MIA for large portions of the game).

Was just saying the same thing and Maxey inconsistencies as a shot creator is something to be slightly concerned about when everyone else beside them and the top guns Embiid and Harden are anemic offensively. Can we count on our defense to lock down like against the grizzlies in the playoffs idk

Great win, team finally showing some heart and toughness. PJ has been crucial in that departement as expected, his heart is contageous.

Also nice to see Tobias with these clutch spot up 3s, he has adapted to his role better than I hoped he would.
