Oubre and rozier playing, it’s time for that Charlotte push to ruin our lottery odds

Clifford got forced to make a good adjustment and use PJ at the 5 against Gobert because Williams/Richards got 5 fouls lol

i loved Williams patient, easy score when the smaller guy was on him.

Theres something pretty interesting about Mark Williams Ive noticed ever since hes been in the rotation but no one, including me, has brought it up. He has played drop coverage against the PnR significantly less than I expected. He shows/hedges, or even traps, pretty often. Hes actually looked better than you would have expected in different coverages.

I wish we still had a go-getter like Lamar to do awesome video breakdowns of this stuff.

It seems like DSJ's shooting has maybe stabilized a bit. Its still bad, but there was a stretch where it was getting so bad he felt unplayable. He can play a reasonable role as long as his shooting isn't THAT bad.

i still dont want him shooting longer than 6 foot away, every pull up long 2 just makes me retch

I've noticed that when LaMelo shoots well, the Hornets are hard to beat.

Not worried about LaMelo at all, he'll take off soon.

Am worried about us winning too much now.

Fun finish. When Melo and Gordo are clicking on offense it's a formidable combination. I remain disappointed that Nick hasn't shown signs of life since being back in the rotation, but to be fair to him tonight was an exceptionally difficult matchup.

The NBA should just drop trying to force all the LaMelo vs Lonzo primetime games and start going with LaMelo vs Edwards. Getting that rivalry going makes more sense and is way more entertaining

I believe we're now 13-4 when we score more than 120 points this season. I know Cliff tried going with a more defensive focus in the first half of the season but this team is built for offense. You just gotta let these guys go out there and run up the score

Bottom four should be safe. They are still 7.5 games behind Orlando, who is 6-4 in their last 10 games and are completely healthy.

Bottom three is looking less likely and they're probably stuck at 4th worst. San Antonio has gone full Hinkie mode lol. Its slightly sub-optimal, but 5th is where the real drop off for top four picks starts so its not that bad.

That was one of the most randomly horrific officiating games I've seen in a while. Luckily 80% of the bad calls went in our favor. The refs really missed a lot of very obvious calls. If I didn't know any better I'd think the league has sent out the memo to all the refs in games with teams right in front of the Lakers.

I'm hoping we get the best of both worlds. Look semi-decent so our young players don't get entirely demoralized but still finish 4th-from-last and get Wemby anyway.

Basically I'm dreaming of a gold-plated version of how the lotto gods blessed us in 2020. Back then we easily had the worst roster and worst future outlook in basketball but actually gave effort every night and finished 8th because we wouldn't let the team bottom out. It was incredibly satisfying to see a genuinely less talented team who did not quit leapfrog a bunch of obvious tankers. I'd love to see a Hornets team who got mocked for racking up wins late in the season jump the shameless quitters and get a good picture of Mitch smiling while the San Antonio and Houston delegations do the shocked Pikachu face meme.
