Embarrasing and unacceptable loss. You can have off nights on the offensive end, but to not play D... smh...

I mean yes I get it... off nights right?
But after the all star break?
AFTER the coach is extended under questionable opinion?
It looks bad this is what we get
And it ain't like the inexperienced played, the so called vets threw us into this dump fest

I know he wouldn't have changed the narrative defensively... But at this point belts just start Cobra CAMmander... There's just enough enough playmaking on a nightly basis.
Let's see if he can develop chemistry with Bridges and Clax...

Why not , most the media and fans do.

"Questionable opinion," I'm not sure what that means.
JV did a good job turning things around, and I don't see any harm in the extension.
He's earned at least half to 3/4's of a season next year to see what he can do with a full training camp and a better-tooled roster. Then if you need to dump him, you dump him.
Anyway, sometimes long breaks can work against a team; even good teams.
There's also the fact that Vaughn & the coaches probably had the players do a good amount of drill work and adjustment of philosophy, and sometimes the first few games can be a step back before guys are used to the changes. That's not necessarily the explanation here, but it wouldn't be a surprise.
One game, and you just move on from it.
That said, sucks to have had to watch it, huh?

What a disappointment. Wins gonna come tough, I understand that, but this one was one of the worst basketball I've watched in a long time. I'm so dissappointed of this team's defense. They are build to be a tough opponant, but it's like nobody cares. No effort at all. This has nothing to do with the allstar break. There really is no excuse of not coming to play.
The Philly game really was the only game they played hard since trade deadline. I'll watch a few more games, until I don't care anymore. They will always struggle on offense, when the shot is not falling, it's going to be ugly. But the energy out there is awful. When they don't care, why should we as fans.
And sometimes it feels like Vaughn has checked out too.

I dont think it was a good idea forcing Cam to be a passer. It’s making him indecisive. He should play naturally and pass whenever he’s drawing help defense instead.
Defensively, DFS should not play with the starters there was too much redundancy. And specially Dinwiddie was struggling so Nets could have inserted Curry, Harris or specially Cam instead.

Yea DFS has been trashh here so far. He needs to be playing with a star because he's really just a 3 & D player, which is why he fit well with Luka. We have too many of the same players that do the same thing. I would try to start Cam in place of DFS, we need a legit scorer. We can't just play starters thats all defenders and still give up 130 points

It's not like Thomas solves our offensive issues. He is not the kind of player to rely on. He could be a great sixth man, instant offense guy, but nothing more.
We still run the same offense as we did, with ky und kd. That was already bad offense back then, but it worked with greatness on the floor. It does not work with this group and never will, no matter who starts. Bridges called it the second game he played. He asked around if they actually want to play that way, because it stinks ( https://open.spotify.com/episode/0FjPvZLYhhnuSbmKZJ4cTj?si=vD8D-6dLQAywZBh9wMBd9w around the 44 min mark). There are some bad set plays. But most of the time everybody just stands around and watches the ballhandler to create offense. It's bad offense and they still play that way. It won't be better if cam has the ball. He might score 40 every now and then and gets overpaid eventually, but we still lose. Our offense system has to change.

The fact that the team didn't use the break to change up some of the offense is a bad sign.

That was a senseless move by Marks. Trading for DFS and Din only made sense if he was sure KD was fine with staying here. It was eerily reminiscent of Marks giving up a first for Royce in the offseason like we were all in for a title and then a few days later KD asking for a trade.
KD is a different dude but I feel Marks and the FO weren't on his wavelength at all. To run your lip and build your brand as a player friendly organisation is one thing, to actually execute on it is another. With the departures of 3 HOFers in 1 year it seems our culture is anything but player friendly. IMO what has transpired has humiliated the Nets FO and our overall brand, it's a fireable offense for the GM IMO but seemingly our owner is fine with burying his head in the sand while the house is on fire. He doesn't care though as long as the money is rolling in and Marks is whispering sweet nothings in his ear about what a brilliant, forward, player friendly overlord he is.

Yeah. The Nets need to do a deal this summer. Too many wings with the same skills. Need a PG badly.
Well take Bridges for Fournier and a 1st round pick
Just get lost. Clown.

Senseless why? Kyrie had to go. It was the best deal on the table. Supposedly, an hour after the trade, someone offered us two firsts for DFS (no indication how good/protected they were).

My friend, this is deeper than the old big three we had. This was also a 50 percent job of ESPN and other media outlets who manipulated other teams into not dealing or working with the Nets. **** Windy, **** Nick **** Wrong, **** Fat boy Chuck. They were out there literally bad mouthing and telling Nets what to do. This was not just the work of the players and FO but the work of the same media who manipulated the Nets FO. This league is corrupt and insane. Not to mention all the horrific officiating that went on all season

Honestly, this was such a deflating moment that i don't know how to feel anymore. Like...i have no urge to watch this team anymore. I barely remembered to tune in last night and when i did i could tell that something was off. The ball wasn't moving and everyone looked lost.

The idea that the Nets should have paid Kyrie without incentives is absolute madness.

I’ll tell you what is off
Fish spoil from the head , the same as this team
What you see now is aftermaths after biggest disconnect ever between players - coaching stuff- front office
It’s the continuation of the same Nets team, same lame GM who’s communication skills is on par with 5 graders , it’s the same buffoon owner , it’s the same coaching stuff that all stars run off from
Don’t expect for anything to change , it’s internal problem and main cause of all of this is Marks/Tsai combo
