They have been well below average their last 15 to 20 games. Like I said they are full of low IQ mental midgets. Look how they fell apart last night , They’ve been doing that their last 20 games.

Grizzlies biggest problem is they have really bad offense in the halfcourt. Windhorst latest podcast talked about that. Any team that emphasized too much on defense will have a tough hill to climb because they are going against the trend.

Grizzlies biggest problem is that Jaren Jackson, their best player, is a fairly mediocre offensive player and almost all his value comes from his 6.09 DRPM, and Ja Morant is just the 18th best player in the league and has below league average TS%, hard to win like that when offense is way more important than defense.

I think that Celtics, Bucks and even we are better than any team in the West currently, maybe it changes come playoff time, but right now it seems that West is not that relevant. We should worry about the Celtics.

Unless Phoenix really catches fire with KD, whoever comes out of the East is winning the chip.

?????

Last year Warriors were 2nd in defensive rating and 16th on offensive rating, the Celtics were actually 1st on defense. Bubble Lakers were 1st on defense and 11th on offense.

Teams need to score on the halfcourt to win a title but i don't think that means having a great offense, historically teams that win the championship have 3 stereotypes:

- Top percentile defensive teams (1-3 defrtg) that are average-bad on offense.
- Balanced teams that are top ten on offense and defense.
- top 10 teams on offense that are average on defense.

More smoke about Harden to Houston. Seems we're in the Jimmy Butler situation all over again. I think it's max or bust if we want to keep him.

He’s crazy if he goes to Houston. That organization is a complete mess right now and doesn’t have the talent to win. He probably thinks of himself as Lebron returning to Cleveland but he not gonna get those same results.

Way too much smoke. Very fishy.

Always felt to me like Morey leaking to an avoid cap circumvention penalties. Now I feel extremely confident that's what it is.

Morey is not gonna let his boy go. He wouldn't have asked James to take a paycut without a wink/nod that a max would be waiting.

Now... if Morey gives James a 5 year max just fire him right now. 4 years... whatever. Will be a bad contract immediately and arguably dead money by the 3rd or 4th year, but it aligns with Jo. Doesn't work let them both go and start over.

It's a tough situation, because unless James takes a smaller deal (which ain't happening), they at best have a 1 year window after this season with him. So maybe sign him next year and trade them right after? Or just let him go. Depending on how things go in the playoffs, they may just let him go and try to get Joel to wait for a re tool or trade him.

Max him for 4 years, trade Tobi’s contract for a third star or a couple of quality wings plus a back up PG.

His game ages well. He’s improved his catch and shoot 3’s, shooting the best 3p% of his career this season, he’s got a mid range game, he has at least 2-3 years left playing at the current level. Next 2-3 years will be Embiid and Hardens best shot at a ring. Can’t wait to see what players we bring in trading that Tobi contract.

Agree you have to max him. The only variable is for how long. Would shoot for 3, settle for 4, walk away/work out a S&T at 5.

I don't think you can lose with maxing him, he wants to win a ring. Can always trade later. Morey needs to get that third star. I think that would be a chip with the right player and some bench tweaking. Paying him doesn't change what other players you can get at this point.
