Pretty clear after watching Boston, Philly, Milwaukee last 2 days this team still has a long long long way to go.

Mavs late game execution is still the worst in the league too. Poor inbound play designs. Terrible play calls out of timeouts. Indecisiveness.

This is on the coaching staff...when you're up 27 and on a tear you go with the hot hand...and once in a while call out your superstars, stop cuddling them...this era is soft, the Players are too fragile, everybody is afraid to call them out because then they Hurt their feelings and they are offended..

Big leads that earlier don't mean much anymore with the way teams can get hot or cold from 3.

I hear you, but c’mon. Teams were like 0-130 this season when down 27+ points.
When you rely on 3s with no inside presence this shouldn't be shocking. Team took 14 FTs and had 16 TOs. Not a good recipe to win

I think Kokoškov was more important to their offensive scheme than we thought...they baddly need someone who's capable of drawing up plays...for a HOF pointguard Kidd really looks clueless

We traded for this kyrie guy so we can only beat the Spurs. LMAO.

Kyrie Luka combo not gonna work. When can we come to realize this?

We lost this game because of 2 things: Turnovers and lack of rebounding. Lakers shot 17.6% from 3 today while we shot over 40% from 3. We practically handed the game to the them today. Embarrassing loss on national TV and Kidd definitely needs blame as well for making literally zero changes to remedy the problems.

The Mavs has no answer to AD and the Jazz C. Powell just ain't the right piece. But the Mavs couldn't get any upgrade from FA.

Pretty much spot on.

The Mavs are gonna spam 3s and go ISO that's it. The Lakers who still don't have enough shooting killed dallas inside. It doesn't matter if it's Wood, Powell, or Maxi they don't have it.

Kidd playing Holiday over Green makes no sense... Also Wood and McGee should've got all the minutes over Powell.

It’s still shocking. I don’t care how you try to slice it up. Team let off the gas, which isn’t anything new. We’ve lost some nice leads earlier in the season too, 20+ in the opener, 11+ late against OKC, probably some others.

But a 27 point lead at home and lose? ESPN odds had us 99.9% chance of winning.

Add in that Dallas has two of the best 4th quarter scorers too. This type of loss can make or break your team’s confidence.

Luckily we have an easy schedule to end the season.

When the Mavs leads by 24, the Mavs should have put Fakers over the foul limit every quarters. But Kidd lets the team continue to do-or-die on 3 balls. Obviously, Wood and McGee should have taken minutes away from Powell. Green should play more when Bullock is so streaky.

As frustrating as this loss is, gotta give credit to the Lakers. Sure wouldn’t want to play them in a 7 game series.

Nothing this team does should be shocking both positive or negative. Even up 40 vs Suns last year I thought they would cough up enough of the lead to make it interesting.

That's your takeaway from watching this game? looking at the Mavs worst statistical categories for the season might help...
