Idk I wouldn't wanna see them with an off-season and training camp together. The defense could be better tho

I can't believe they won this lmao
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Big time gutsy win. Can't hit a 3, down 27, Luka sizzling in the first half, LeBron struggling, down a starter, BIG TIME WIN.

This team's biggest issue pre-trade was by far their lack of length on the perimeter and Ham's bizarre love affair with playing 3-guard lineups. That's obviously been rectified by jettisoning WB/Beverly and getting Vanderbilt/Beasley/Dlo. No more 3-guard lineups, no more James Bryant and you can see the massive defensive improvement.

Not having WB's soul crushing mental mistakes and spacing-killer presence also goes a long way. He was unplayable in close games.

You mean in the 2016 Finals? Made sense to let Barnes shoot in that series

Def from the Caruso school of roleplayer, maybe even a little better.

Vando was worth an unprotected first all on his own. 15 points 17 REBOUNDS (8 offensive omg) 4 steals and an outstanding defensive job on Luka.

Him and AD are such a great defensive pairing

LeBron honestly played better AFTER the ankle turn. Mostly due to getting his ass in the post.

His mobility and leaping ability has looked awful since returning from AS break. Lakers aren't a serious team (playoff-wise) with him in his current state.

IDK how could they build a solid defense around these 2. LAL made only 6 3s, still score 111 in the regulation

Few thoughts after this win:

They’re getting killed (albeit a lot of hot shooting by Dallas) at the start, and somehow Ham decides, “I’m going to run with no LeBron OR AD for a few minutes despite the Mavs having Doncic on the floor” + “I’m gonna play Lonnie even though he was a DNP last game and we were better.”

LeBron turns his ankle badly, somehow keeps playing, muscles himself into making a number of great baskets, and somehow y’all are complaining he didn’t sprint to the corner on a 3? Come on.

Also, AD’s defense ranged from tremendous and meh. Explain to me how Christian Wood kept getting the best of him…? AD was very solid though, all things considered.

Tremendous win down 27 on the road. Hopefully his ankle is alright and Vando’s too, and Russell comes back 100% next game.

This was probably the best win by any team in the NBA. Down by 27 points, a 14 three pointer differential in mix, and somehow you come back and win. It’s pretty much impossible. And these three games that they won they really haven’t played really well and when they do …

Yeah, I was not at all interested in trading him, not very happy with that deal overall :-?
