Apparently on offense as well.

Yeah, he averages around 20 per game but he could score around 25 ppg if needed.

Ayton's a terrible situational player.I don't think he'll ever be a guy who can consistently get you crucial buckets down the stretch of a close ball game. Not just buckets. That goes for rebounds & defensive stops as well.DA's a total empty stats guy imo.

Thank you

Bucks and Mavs in consecutive early Sunday games. Hopefully next one has a better outcome with KD playing.

Will that lead to better quality shots by Booker ?

Red hot team at home without their superstar beat a Suns team that is clearly worse than the team that met them in the Finals two seasons ago. We choked this one away and they beat us fair and square. Props to them

Everything will be fine when we beat them at home with both KD & Giannis playing. Suns did fairly good on the road with a heavily stacked team even if Giannis didn’t play. We had a 7 point lead with 3:30 to play but unfortunately Crowded happened and Jru’s three got them back into the game.

I definitely can't take anything away from the Bucks because they beat us without Giannis but they are just a VERY well oiled team. Like Mids and Giannis are basically Bucks lifers and most of the guys in their main rotation (outside of F. Crowder) have been with the organisation for at least 2yrs.

Lopez (5 years)
Jrue (3 years)
Portis (3 years)
Pat (5 years)
Carter (2 years)
Allen (2 years)

We have a bunch of new guys on the team playing rotation minutes and we lost experienced wings in F. Crowder, Cam and Mikal, all who were there with this group for the Finals runs. There's a lot of that chemistry and institutional knowledge of Monty's system that just went poof! and gone. We're replacing that with Okogie (awesome player but inexperienced with this group), DLee, Ross and Jock. That lost chemistry is something that needs to be built over time and we still have to bring a superstar into the fold as well. Given all that, I think we did an admirable job but I certainly can't take anything away from the Bucks taking care of business.

Watching the Lakers/Mavs game, man I love Jared Vanderbilt. He may be the best role player big in the NBA today. Plays extremely hard and does so many little things. Luka Doncic is 1 for 6 when being guarded by him. Could definitely have used a guy like that in last years playoffs.

Wish there was a way to acquire and bring him here. Rob Pelinka being able to get rid of Westbrook and bring in 3 starters for one 1st rd pick is an incredibly underrated trade.

At least a home court opponent in Mavs lost in embarrassing way after leading by around 30 in first half. Note to Suns, if Mavs are hot from three early in the game, don't panic, go destroy them in the paint like every other team.

Trade was a shot in the arm for them no matter what if they make the play in or not. That roster had no NBA players outside of like 4 guys and now they've got some (at least back end rotation) guys.

Hard loose… had a nice lead… crazy but Jrue was on great tonight

Calm down people it will be ok with Kd all… he makes everyone much better… look for example Claxton in Nets with KD this season and now after trade like different player

Booker will be much more efficient next to KD, also DA cause of defences gravity…

KD I choose over Giannis in hard 7 game series, he clearly outplayed him in 7 game series 2 years ago when Bucks beat Nets after Irving injury

How is there a “decent rhythm” when the team is struggling so bad offensively in stretches and a guy that’s known for being instant offense doesn’t get any mins? Ish ***** Wainwright was a benchwarmer and DNP guy before the trade, now suddenly he’s a rotational piece ahead of guy like Warren who has a pedigree of being a scorer (what did he average, 40 a game in the bubble?). Defense can’t be the reason because Wainright is terrible defensively too and has the lateral quickness of a turtle plus commits really stupid fouls.

On a side note, I really like Duane Rankin, he’s the only Suns media reporter that doesn’t ask all the super softball questions to players and coaches. The other guys like Gerald, Kellan Olson etc ask like pointless questions 90% of the time after games. We haven’t had a great Suns reporter since the Paul Coro, Gina Mizell days but really like Duane improving in that area the last year or so. He asks the questions that us fans want to know the answer to.

Healthy Anthony Davis is a BEAST

Mavs problem is they don't have any size in the middle to anchor any sort of sustainable defense or rebounding. Out of 62 games this season, they've been outrebounded in 46 games by an average of almost 9 rebounds a game. Their primary and realistically, only strength is their shot making abilities which has doubled now that they have Kyrie. They've always been big on taking and hitting a bunch of 3's which keeps them in games long enough for Luka (and now Kyrie) to take over in the 4th.

He “wanted” this win probably more than he wanted to win in the finals 2 years ago or last year’s game 7.

Ish on a 2-way contract since last season has played more minutes than TJ Warren over the past 3 seasons. He knows the system better and he's a solid team defender. It's not a surprise Monty is playing the guys he knows and trusts while bringing TJ slowly into the fold.

I don't know if a player has made himself look worse in such a quick time than Jae Crowder has.

Going into today I was honestly just hoping to not get blown out. We already righted the Bucks wrong once last year, by blowing them out, then almost beating them on the road without all of our key guys. I thought those games were important last year, but this year not so much. They just destroyed Miami without Giannis, and we had to travel for the 1.5 day rest game. They play well without Giannis, it lets guys like Lopez play more to his potential. We lost to a good team on the road. Maybe it meant a bit more to Book and CP3, but not much.

We beat them by 1 point twice in the reg season, the year of the finals, and it didn’t mean jack. I hope we meet them again in the finals, if we miraculously stay healthy I expect a 2016-17 finals type beatdown. KD is that good. Maybe I am being crazy, but that’s the way I see it.

I really agree on this… TJ has skill, but I think Suns dont count on him longterm he was just salary filler in trade, anyway I see that Ish will be out of 10 man rotation when KD start playing, I expect to see

Paul, Payne
Booker, Lee
Okogie, Ross
Durant, Craig
Ayton, Landale

and to be honeat against some teams maybe even Landale will not play, we can use KD sometimes in smallball lineups as 5 with Craig on 4… but I dont trust Landale so much

this is reason Landale was player on partizan belgrade my favourite team, I am Serbian from Belgrade and my favourite NBA players are Kd and Jokic obviously…

so I am here new on Suns forum, but I like franchise for long time

So to be back on point… I am not sure when Shamet comes back will he surpass Lee and one positive thing is Ross play for now

I dont understand so much Bazley aquistion if he dont play…

Return to Phoenix Suns
