Well it’s obviously going to depend on casts. Assuming Kobe and Kidd are each taking max money, that leaves LeBron’s squad with plenty of room for another max contract + support.

That said, I’m taking LeBron in that kind of scenario but it also depends on who that player is (to a certain degree).

But the thing is I’m not sure what the context is for this hypothetical, so yeah.

If the salary cap is a consideration then LeBron for sure. If the rest of the roster is filled with average players then I'll take Kidd/Kobe.

Lebron, because I feel pretty good that I can get a 2nd star, around Kidd's quality (strong all-star/all-nba) in free-agency.

I also think Lebron provides better longevity than anyone in this example, so I think that is another plus.

No.

Couldn’t shoot, overrated tbh. LeBron/Kidd vs Kobe/(Curry,Lillard,Ja,Irving,etc.) I’m going with Kobe and a current top 10 PG easily.

You can still be good and not be a good shooter. I mean really, Kyrie Irving is better than Kidd because he can shoot and has highlight moves?

Kidd was the best player on a finals team. While he didn't beat the best competition his team wasn't stacked either, at the very least he was going head to head with players like Iverson, Carter, Pierce, McGrady - all players better than most of the guys you listed.

That's quite a take, I wouldn't put too much into this opinion though without any explaination.

I’d go with Kobe/Kidd. So many intangibles covered here, and you know Kidd is a guy Kobe would immediately trust out there. You have two positions covered by two of the greatest ever.

Even for Lebron, this is a bit much to overcome. Best case scenario he can field a team around him of some meaningful quality, but worst case scenario he finds himself in a 2004-2010 & 2018 situation. Which, to be fair, he’ll overachieve in, but likely won’t culminate in a title.

Honestly I'm taking LeBron and a G-leaguer over these two.
