Thus reminded me of Duhon's critical contribution to Orlando during a playoff series.

Carter-Williams is a career 25% shooter from distance. His career eFG% is sub 43%.
Curry is a career 43% shooter from distance. His career eFG% is north of 58%.

Yes: you are correct.

edit: Curry is shooting the three at 42.7% this season on a staggering 11.4 3pt attempts per game. That means his three ball is worth an eFG% of 64.5 on high volume.
Friggen amazing.

I thought MCW was like 13th.

Oh jeez, 11th. For whatever reason I thought 5th.

Major brain shart.

You might be thinking of Mr. #5 : Mario Hezonja.

It's the end of the season and our goal is not winning games, so whatever, but it's kind of weird, because his last game was 2 years ago, so no one tried to sign him during this timespan... was he injured somehow? Anyway, he is 31, so not that old and his motor will be way better than Bamba's.

For me signing Carter-Williams is a clear indicator that winning is the goal.

The Magic need to go something like 14-7 to make the play-ins. I don't think Carter-Williams is the guy that makes Orlando a winner. Carter-Williams has been a hero at late-game defensive rebounds. I expect a win to be locked down because of some sort of wild-finish he is part of, such as that.

Seems like Hammond/Weltman really suffering from confirmation bias with MCW. He's got grit, and probably a good example for the kids, but there are probably 20 G league guys i'd give a try out to first, or any G league player that would help with our seeding.

I actually had to go back to the first post in this thread to make sure we didn't resurrect an old thread. Seems like he is a veteran end of the bench go to keep the youngins in check. Which is what we let walk this year in Ross.

I don't think it matters what I think of MCW and this signing beyond that.

As someone here has said, don't you think this is a "wink wink" signing and we are just being a man of his word?

MCW got injured and needed surgery, instead of having him on the IL we release him to get better and now that he is, we sign him back.

Although MCW makes boneheaded plays, he seems like a coach on the floor. Part of the reason they signed him is to have a cheap veteran presence.

I do think he'll be coaching after his career is over.

Their disrespect for Kevon who played elite defense and gave it his all every second is quite clear. Not liking these decisions.

The only reason I can see for this is that WeltHam are doing a "See? We look after our players" show for the young stars on the roster. And for a vet guy on the training room floor.
