Meanwhile, Jarred Vanderbilt is taking Rui's job.

No way, not possible. I have it on good authority that all Rui needed was to be in a different organization and his contributions would be valued. It's not like he's suddenly shooting worse from every position. Passing even less. Etc. And if so it's probably the fault of the coaching. And his hall of fame teammates.
Vanderbilt is one of those 'diamond in the rough' players whose per-possession stats were always solid but who was playing behind guys with bigger names. He often showed up in my search for Bigs with good steal/def board/assist numbers even if his blocks were anemic. Indication of a good positional defense player.

Rui is the same kind of player as Nunn there are two types of players in the lebron era guys who play better with Bron and guys who Bron makes worse.doclinkin wrote:FAH1223 wrote:Meanwhile, Jarred Vanderbilt is taking Rui's job.

Vanderbilt is one of those guys I would have loved to target as upgrades over Taj, Gill and Todd.

No they're not.

Dude! Yes they are. There isn't even one single argument to make that the hornets are not a worse ran team than the wizards.TGW wrote:gambitx777 wrote:It's that pretty funny lol man the hornets are at least a worst organization than the wizards lol.FAH1223 wrote:Meanwhile, Jarred Vanderbilt is taking Rui's job.

Yeah, they are.
I'm not saying it's something to be proud of. The Wizards are firmly among the 5 worst franchises in the league and maybe even 2nd worst. But I'm pretty comfortable in asserting that the Wizards are better than Charlotte. Other bottom-feeders include Minnesota and Sacramento.

They should hang "not technically the worst" from the rafters

They're both ran terribly. You can quibble over some wins here or there, but as far as i'm concerned, the bottom 5 are the bottom 5, and the Wizards are firmly one of those 5. Arguing over who's worse between those 5 teams is absolutely pointless.

It's really not pointless I said the words are a worse ran team they aren't I didn't say anything about the bottom 5 and honestly I think there is a case for some other teams being lower on the list. But, as for my statement there isn't anything you can say to point to the hornets not being worse than the wizards.TGW wrote:gambitx777 wrote:Dude! Yes they are. Sure I can. I can say that I'd rather have Jordan than Leonsis as owner, and shut down your whole argument.

Charlotte has one playoff win (not series) since it's franchise's inception (unless you want to count its inherited history from the New Orleans Pelicans). It's hard to be worse than that.

Re: Official: Wizards trade Rui Hachimura for Kendrick Nunn and three 2nd round picks
Back it up. Why? Jordan has been a much worse owner than Ted especially over that last few years. You're just hating the front office cuz you're frustrated. Which is fine but saying Jordan is a better owner than Ted is just silly.TGW wrote:gambitx777 wrote:It's really not pointless I said the words are a worse ran team they aren't I didn't say anything about the bottom 5 and honestly I think there is a case for some other teams being lower on the list. Nobody was giving us Jarred Vanderbilt for anything we were going to put on offer. He was already a starter in Minny.

You are right. Which in a way is credit to Tommy not giving away our future chasing the right-now.
