So….
We’ll have a 7 mill tpme
3 mill vet minimums (10 yr vets)
Minimum contracts
A 4mill Saric trade exception
Can resign Craig and Bazley
No first pick but may be a second(idk)
No Biannual for tax payers
Thats our pathway to improve next yr.

I thought we would have the ability to match any contract offered to players on our current roster. Why can't we do this with players like Ross, Landale, Craig, Lee, Warren and Okogie. I guess all these players become unrestricted free agents and all we can offer is what you explain.
In the day I always looked forward to the new mail girl we would hire. The office men would stop work while she would deliver the mail in her micro mini and high heels. Those were the days. Those were the same days when you could keep your team together in all sports.

Deaths and serious health issues linked to vaccines are now so obvious (as they are registered, saved and printed in the documents of Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, etc) and tests on people were so outrageously faked that there is no doubt this was done with a wide knowledge of the companies and authorities.
This is why most politicians (if not all) and all men in power have never been inoculated.
In my triathlon team, for not going further, two people have died and two more have serious heart problems. None of then had any previous heart condition.
My prother, also in the team, and who is a doctor, got two vaccines because he was forced to. Now he is not taking any more and he has repented himself. He had to have a holter a few weeks ago because of discomfort and arrythmias, which he never had before.
I cannot understand how you are unable to see all the damage. So many women with period problems, so many abortions, so many skin problems.
To understand this one should raise one important question: how many hours of epidemiology does a doctor receive during his time at university. I will answer that: ZERO.
So a doctor is not prepared to tell anybody what to do vaccine related.
Your politicians comment is wildly inaccurate as are some other “information” you provided within your comments.

You need 'bird rights' to sign your own guys to deals more than min while over the cap. That's 3 yrs for full bird and 2 years for 'early bird' which let's you double their previous yr salary.Puff wrote:Frank Lee wrote:So….

Biz and Craig would have early bird this coming summer. They can offer contracts starting at 175% of this years salary without using the MLE.
Joc and Bazely they can make RFAs if they choose to.
KD, Booker, Ayton, Shamet, CP, (partial guarantee). Are under contract for next year.
Payne and Ish they have team options on their contracts.
Ross, Warren, Okogie, Lee are the no bird right FAs. They can either sign a min deal or they have to use the MLE.
The only guy where there's any chance they realistically wouldn't be able to resign if they wanted to would be Okogie but we're still lots of him playing like he is right now before he's going to price out of ther range.
This is actually a pretty normal roster scenario for a contending team.

Re: 2022-23 Season Discussion and Speculation 5 - The KD era begins
Once KD's back, we should remove Cam Payne from the playoff rotation and go big when CP3's on the bench.
CP3 and Payne are hit-and-miss on offense, and too often they're more miss than hit. It's simply risky to give all our PG minutes to those two. But Paul will play. Ross, Lee and Warren can shoot - so can Shamet and maybe even Bazley. Those guys should take all of Cam's minutes. Okogie can guard ones, so he should come off the bench for Paul. Paul, KD and Booker should handle the PG duties.
It follows that unless we want Okogie playing 34 MPG, we should bring him off the bench - so Craig starting next to KD. I know for most of you it's a foregone conclusion that Torrey will get start so I'm not saying very much there.

Suns' Ishbia talks team-buying process, Durant trade
2.27.2023
Suns and WNBA Phoenix Mercury owner Mat Ishbia said he "learned so much going through" the Broncos bidding process that it prepared him to "know how to go get" the Suns and Mercury, according to a Q&A with Niyo & Noble of the DETROIT NEWS. Ishbia also discussed the Suns' trade for F Kevin Durant and his outlook on the future. Excerpts from the Q&A are below, edited for brevity and clarity.
Q: How much work went into the process of buying a team?
Ishbia: Years of legwork. Meeting other NBA owners, spending time with the commissioner, finding out (and) learning about the process, flying around the country to spend time with different people, getting on Zoom meetings. Having dinners with NFL and NBA owners to just learn, one, is this possible; and two, is this what I really want to do with my time outside of UWM? And so it was a long process.
Q: What did you learn that surprised you in all that fact-finding you did?
Ishbia: They were all welcoming, friendly, and encouraged me. And they look at it as a partnership, not just like, ‘Oh, I'm coming in to compete with this guy.’ It's like, ‘Hey, the 30 of us are partners, we work together as a team.’ For the 48 minutes we play on the court, we want to beat them, they want to beat us. But after the game, it's like, ‘How are you doing on ticket sales?’ ‘Hey, I got this new sponsorship: Have you done this?’
Q: You didn't waste any time with the trade deadline. You sort of put your imprint on this right away.
Ishbia: Kevin Durant's one of the best players in the world, right? … I'm not sitting here planning to win. We’re gonna go try to win right now. And then we'll try to win again next year, and then we'll try to win the year after that.
Q: The luxury tax is viewed as a barrier by some, but maybe not so much by you?
Ishbia: It's something to be conscious of, and it's very expensive. You’re writing a big check. But how much is that smile on the 12-year-old kid’s face worth? How excited can the city of Phoenix be if we win a championship? … I'm not big on ROI (return on investment): ‘You spent this money, what’d you get for it?’ This is the right thing to do (DETROIT NEWS, 2/26).

Yeah, it's a shame that we'll go into the season with a Starting 5 of:
CP3
Booker
Craig
Durant
Ayton
and not much money to spend on depth...
...when just 5-6 years ago, we started
Ulis
Booker
Warren
Chriss
Chandler
...and all the money in the world to spend in the offseason, plus 2 Lottery picks...and the best we could do for the following season was start
Canaan
Booker
Ariza
Anderson
Ayton (rookie)
It's tough, I know, but I think I prefer our current situation barely...just barely, more than I did then...
I know I'm in the minority here, but yeah...I think I'm gonna favor our current team make-up, and future situation...but just barely...

Tomorrow is the deadline for when a guy has to be released to be playoff eligible for their new team. You don't have to sign the guy now but anyone on a roster as of 3/1 can't be on someone else's roster for the playoffs.
If the suns actually plan to sign another ball handler I could see them make the cut tomorrow. I know some have mentioned Joc but I'd guess Bazely or maybe TJ would be the roster casualty.

Payne's important. It may not look so in his first game back after a long time off, but he is very important as not only backup PG but as a potential Paul starting replacement when Paul goes down. He is solid with the starters.
Payne has shot over 38% from 3 this year...that's better than Shamet, CP3, Book, Okogie, Wainwright, Ross, etc, and has a 2.5-1 ast/to ratio which is pretty strong for a PG, particularly a backup. Payne's also better from 2 than Shamet. Neither are great, but Shamet is below 39% from 2.
As long as Payne isn't still hurting he will look a lot better once the rust wears off.

I think TJ would be more likely than Jock. A guy not playing and likely for sure not here next year. They do like wing depth though. We will see.

Yeah I feel like if it's going to be TJ it will be done tomorrow out of respect for a veteran and his ability to catch on with another team.bwgood77 wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:Tomorrow is the deadline for when a guy has to be released to be playoff eligible for their new team. But if I had to guess I'd say this is the 15 man roster they go into the playoffs with. If they have an injury to CP or Payne then it's Booker PG time vs playing any of these guys off the street.

But if I had to guess I'd say this is the 15 man roster they go into the playoffs with. If they have an injury to CP or Payne then it's Booker PG time vs playing any of these guys off the street.

Yeah, Booker can play and KD can handle and is a very good passer. 5.3 apg this year and last year with Kyrie out more 6.4 apg. Then Shamet can play backup. I think we really have plenty of ballhandlers. Now if both CP3 and Payne are out, then it hurts, but hopefully that won't happen again (or worse yet, both of them and Booker out again...and Shamet).
