He can score and not so good efficiency, but thats about it, seriously, did he noticeable improve anything in the last 3 years? A huge disappointment for me his career is.
He's money on the corner 3 and is slightly more efficient down low now that he's able to finish better. But he has regressed in the other parts of his game, like defense and hitting the open man. His contract came with incentives so I think he was putting too much emphasis on putting up All Star numbers instead of contributing for the team and just be a role player.
RJ tries too hard to keep his 20ppg average but would be better off not caring about that, lower it to 15ppg on better efficiency, raise his apg and rpg to 5 and 5, because he's capable of it. I mean the lobs to Mitch should already be 2 per game if he just does it often. He gets tunnel vision most of the game instead of finding the open man. I would rather that RJ than a chucker.
The best thing about acquiring Josh Hart is that RJ sits during crunch time when he's not playing well. Thibs holds him accountable based on his play and this should make him a better player. Minutes are no longer guaranteed. I still have faith he can get better.
