Think nobody here thinked that Wood is a difference maker, he is an elite offensive player with mediocre defense and low BBQI.
He is not Anthony Davis. Its pretty clear.
He can be our Bobby Portis from the bench, but our problems that we have not Giannis and Lopez ahead of him.

But he is better than Powell in EVERY aspect of the game (except cheerleading probably).

You sure about that? People here at times have been acting like Wood is all NBA

Naaaaaaaaa probably it's the Powell frustration

They looked pretty good before Luka came back though. It's weird but since then it has just been a mess (obviously not Luka's direct fault, more like in general, team chemistry and players playing free... hopefully just a time thing for chemistry). The worst thing is that even not playing well, they've blown games.

Wouldn't give it too much weight, Euphoria, young blood exploding (Green/Hardy score 60 on the Jazz), and the team played extremely different from their scouting report, if you notice in both games with Kyrie, they opened with a big lead and lost it towards the end but maintained it.

Because they can’t rebound and they can’t play defense. They give up way too many second chance points and can’t get stops, especially down the stretch.

Defense is a problem of course but we can't rebound because we player with 4 guards and Powell.
We were destroyed, we don't have enough size.

Luka-Kyrie-Green-Wood-Maxi could be a good lineup.

Before the Kyrie trade, Luka-THJ-Green-Wood-Maxi was Mavs best lineup, though they played very little.

Your point is still somewhat valid though, he did have a 6 game stretch in January of 30+ points. The Nets went 3-3.

Absolutely that’s part of the problem. Unfortunately they won’t be able to fix that until the off season. My point is they lost because of lack of defense and rebounding and not because of Luka or Kyrie. Offense isn’t the problem. Well Kidd’s inability to have an out of bounds play ready to go is also a problem.

Actually it is because of Kyrie and Luka. Those two guys have their men blow right past them everytime, when Powell can barely cover his own man. So naturally its free points in the paint. If Gobert looked silly in Utah covering Luka and was expected to switch on guys spreading the floor, I'd imagine how Powell would work 10x harder to cover the same ground. Team lacks 1 more defender at forward and 1 defender at center. Plus Luka and Kyrie need to give a F on D to make it work. Im not saying lockdown defense, but just give a F.

How many superstar guards are elite defenders in todays game? Curry? Is he a lock down defender? Harden? Is he elite at defense? Donovan Mitchell? How many 1st team all defensive teams has he made? If they had an elite defender inside Kyrie and Luka’s defense would look at lot better. This team needs help in the paint, the guards are not the issue.
