Wouldn't we have won a title in the bubble if not for Dragic and Bam injuries in game 1?

I dont know, you tell me. Are you suggesting we would have been champions without those injuries? Are you 100% sure?

Absolutely. It also doesnt help that both Bam and Jimmy are easily neutralized by bringing the double.

They have 24 on 13 shots, everyone else is just trash

Need Gogi over Vincent. These g-leaguers are break in case of emergency, not players to be relied upon for consistent scoring over the course of a season.

Dragic is available to be picked up? If so, I think he would have been here already if there was a mutual interest.

We should have wasted zero time picking him up but the extreme stubbornness of this front office and coaching staff has been to blame since the start of last offseason

That's the odd thing. We know Spo loved Goran, and by all accounts so did Riley. So has to be some tax thing stopping this, or Goran is set on Dallas. Just baffling.

I think Spo, just like any other coach in the NBA, is only as good as the players at his disposal. No coach is winning a title without star players, and this Heat roster is devoid of them.

Don't get me wrong, Spo leaves much to be desired. But what coach would do anything with this lackluster roster?

How's Dragic helping the defense? Miami still scored 53 points, a decent defensive effort would have made this game a lot closer and also... pulling the ball out of the hoop instead of getting a defensive rebound really hurts this teams ability to score. The offense is tied to the defense.

I agree, but ( and this is just my opinion ) we should be doing better than we are, even with the sorry performance we usually get from our best paid players.

Cry about the starting backcourt, they went 4 for 15 in the first half.

BTW... Butler has as many points as Harris does in less time, it's the piss poor teammates' defense which is the problem.

We are not solving every problem with a waiver wire type pick up. It's obvious to anyone watching that our PG play when Lowry isn't around has been horrendous to say the least. I really don't want to see Vincent aimlessly dribbling up the floor, or Dipo throwing it away, or Herro going left to right and launch contested 3s. That's the problem that Goran might solve, in letting these guys play their actual roles, and not get put in positions where they cannot succeed. Case in point, that "drive and dish" from Struss that landed in the 13th row :banghead:

Bad offensive possessions are also a factor in leading to easy scores on the other end. This team is devoid of a floor general. Or is the answer Haywood Highsmith at Center?

Butler is not a superstar, he can play like one even in a whole series but he can not sustain that kind of play consistently, thats why he is not one. He is a very very good 2nd option if you want to win the trophy. It is what it is and its what we have.

I think the easiest answer tonight is not just to let your man drive by without much effort given.

4/15 from 3 at the half. Unbelievable how bad our shooting has been this year.

By the way, this game is still winnable if they tight up the defense.

I know the jury still out but getting zero production from our 1st round pick has also been a huge fail. Don’t draft projects when half the roster comes from the G league. We needed a ready now player
