I now wish Jimmy complained about this team before the trade deadline. Might have put the FO in the hot seat and forced their hand. We are stuck for the season, and not set up that well I’m the off season either. No assets besides Bam and Herro, and Herro is currently destroying his value. Lowrys contract doesn’t become useful till next trade deadline. Duncan’s value is already destroyed. Dipo is effectively washed. And everything else is g league scraps.

Herro should just be Jamal Crawford or Manu off the bench for a team. I'm not saying he's on their level, but that needs to be his role on this team or another team. He's not a starting SG IMO. At least in his current form.

Herros a nicer piece as a bench gunner anyways. It allows his frame to conserve energy and if he's hot he can close.

We continue to wonder why the offense is so bad but every time you look scrubs like Gabe Strus and Herro are taking as many or more shots than our 2 best players. Literal recipe for disaster

You do understand our star player can demand the ball, they can take shots, but they dont. That says more about them than anything. At least Bam has the excuse that he's the center. Butler doesnt have that excuse and again he will be making 50 mil a year.

Yes. He struggles to score against good defensive teams and becomes a target on defense. I'm not blaming this whole game on Herro but it's an example of our problems. We're paying so much money to Lowry, Duncan, and Herro to be awful and liabilities on both ends.

I said this before, Jimmy is Paul Pierce with the Big 3. He's a guy who gets healthy for the playoffs and shows up then. He's going to coast because his game is not built for 82 games. He's old and injury prone. His whole game demands getting banged up for fouls. He can't shoot to have a longer career. We're paying him superstar money for the playoffs. The problem is if he coasts, the whole team can't pick up the slack. They rely on him to be Superman to even have a chance.

I've never mentioned Maxey before, but I gotta say he's much better than Herro and has much more potential imo. He's quick and explosive. Herro isn't, and he can shoot as well. I would take him over Herro 100 times out of 100.

jimmy complaining would not of helped... if our GM didnt bow down to lebron, who was the best player in the world while in heat uniform, imagine how he would take a jimmy ultimatetum lol... only person who can fix this is micky... once he sees ticket sales tank, maybe he will realize heat fans had enough n make riley retire/firespo

This was a disappointing performance. Move on and work it out. I would look at fundamental chemistry changes immediately but thats just me.

I’m not saying anything about firing Spo or Riley.
Riley should be allowed the grace to retire. But he needs to do a lot better. I’m talking about improving the teams roster when we had the chance during the trade deadline. I’m talking about Butler planting seeds to get some help. Media would have def picked it up and you never know what might have happened. Some of the trades that might have at LEAST gotten us tradeable talent for the off season to set us up better to make one final splash next year.

Didn’t do any of that though and so we are stuck.

Not sure Herro needs to hit the bench but he does need a PG next to him who’s a difference maker that’s big and can play defense, create, and score. A player in this years draft from KY that’s intriguing is Cason Wallace. At 6’4 200 he’s a natural fit next to Herro.
