It felt like the Lakers got an officiating boost down the stretch. Schroeder was getting superstar calls and the refs had a quick whistle on loose ball situations against the Thunder.

That's because Dennis is a superstar

I can't wait to see this team at full strength with Chet + FA signings, rookies next year. Will be a top 3 team if healthy. Before you @ me, look at Sacramento. Good for them though.

Three more 40 point games tonight (Brunson a point off). Brings us to somewhere in the 150 range for 40 point games this year... with a quarter season left. Old record was 142, 60 years ago.

I guess we're at the point where a 40 point game isn't even worth a thread comment, let alone a thread.

Using FT disparity is bad, but using it in a game where the thunder literally intentionally fouled Vanderbilt with like 5-6min left to force him to the line…c‘mon now.

In a game where the Thunder drove twice as much, it’s a relevant stat. But observation also tells you that the Lakers got a favorable whistle down the stretch. Anyone even slightly objective saw that.

Dennis Schröder became an actual NBA starter in OKC. He's stupid for not taking that 4 year deal with LAL the first time around, but you can't deny he's very talented offensively. I miss having him, CP3 and Shai on the court at the same time. Beautiful basketball we played that year. Schröder the shooter.

SGA being very injury prone goes under the radar quite a bit.

on the flip side, we would be absolutely THRILLED to play the Knicks in the second round instead of Cleveland.

Random game thougths:
- Jalen Williams is a future superstar.
- When Rui Hachimura uses his physical gifts on defense and the boards, rather than just being a pull up guy, he's a much more impactful player.
- Lakers won this game in the 3rd quarter. I thought OKC outplayed them in the 4th despite the score.

You post FT totals in a game where the thunder intentionally sent the lakers to the line, and you don’t even mention that part, and want to speak of objectively watching the game

Since the Westbrook trade

Lakers 5-2

Clippers 0-3

People will tell me it’s not Russ’s fault but it seems relevant.

The lakers trade deadline was phenomenal,
I just think it might be too late for this year tho

guys like Dort are overly aggressive and foul constantly (or some hack a Vando and Gabriel fts)

I’m not sure if it’s that OKC fans are just used to watching him, but Dort legit fouled like 20 times lol.

I just hope to the good lord Shai comes back against Utah. 3 straight games against Utah and and GS at home. All 3 pretty much must win games. I can't speak for other Thunder fans but we're far enough in this now we don't really have a chance at good draft position anyway. The NBA won't bless us like they did Cleveland time and time again. We need playoff experience for these young guys and next year we'll be a very, very good team. Didn't take Memphis long, don't see why it would take us any longer with all of the talent we have.

Seriously, Dort should have fouled out in like 12 minutes. Refs definitely did him a favor turning a blind eye so often.

With a healthy Bucks squad. Khris Middleton doesn’t slip in Chicago last year? Might be looking at a three peat.

The Thunder currently have the 6th best lottery odds. But I agree with you, I'd like to see this team in the playoffs.

It felt like the Lakers got an officiating boost down the stretch. Schroeder was getting superstar calls and the refs had a quick whistle on loose ball situations against the Thunder.

The Thunder got 3 bull calls on the most textbook verticality plays by the Lakers (not even the slightest horizontal movement), plus a ticky-tack and-1 on Schroder over Dort. Then another loose ball foul on Schroder during a tie up that literally happens every game, despite Troy Brown being fouled initially to even start that sequence.

Every time the Lakers win this dumbass narrative gets fired up. The poor shooting 3pt team with high FGA-at-the-rim team is apparently not allowed to be a league leader in free throws, if they play in Los Angeles and wear a Nike banana yellow jersey.

@MoneyTalks, your team literally **** fouled on purpose in three possessions. That's 6 free throws right there.
