Major respect to Charlotte for continuing to battle and kind of make it a game late in the 4th. There’s a reason they have won 5 straight games, but without LaMelo it was harder to compete. Anyways, good win by Phoenix played tough defense all game long and & KD did KD things in limited minutes. Nobody scored in double figures off our bench but every player did little things in the box score which was helpful. Only players that struggled were Okogie and Paul.. Okogie only shot 4 times but made all his ft’s while Paul had 11 assists. All good though can’t have every single player shooting well there will be some casualties. :) Goodnight guys.

Just my two cents: Garbage time is never the time to try to build chemistry. Suffer an injury there and fans will be livid and Monty will get the blame.

Having said that, great game.

Im actually looking forward to getting theSham back. I rank him better than Lee, and definitely , Tony Buckets needs all the Ish minutes. Out bench is adequate, but would like to see us stagger Book and Ayton in there. But then again, Monty going to be Monty

The game was neither here nor there. I was ready to overreact one way or another but it was against a subpar team with their star out.

Not an exciting game at all but a perfect first game for KD to join the family.

Looking forward to see the chemistry build and get that fun flow back. Go Suns!!

The Hornets commentators ran circles around Suns commentators. The difference in quality is astonishing.

I don't enjoy the catchphrase "Booker goes Boom!" IDK why. Maybe because he says it too much and he uses it when he hits a three and a dunk.

Suns fans, the general view you have on your commentary team doesn't seem to be flattering. Is it because they are new or have they been pretty hopeless for a while.

Coming from the Nets who have the best commentary team in the league (Ian Eagle, Sarah Kustok and sometimes Richard Jefferson) the dropoff in quality has been noticeable. However I'm not finding the Suns broadcast to be horrible, just very generic. Tonight KDs debut was a franchise changing moment but i certainly couldn't hear the enthusiasm in their voices.

So this is what it's like to be a complete team. All that's left to complain about is the broadcast crew.

Soma take aways:

- KD it is just another level, he looked like scored 23 with 6 rb and 2 bl on 30-40% effort… he is just insane talent
- Booker played great game, I have feeling he is most motivated now with KD in the team of all players…
- If maybe KD is most talented player in the NBA there is real fun thing that to me Ish looks like maybe te the worst talent on NBA rosters now, just awful game, Warren need to play before him
- Pauls Career can really be extended with KD in the mix, and I have feeling Ayton will be much better also next to kd, just compare Nick Claxton with KD and now after trade… he just elevate other players with defence gravity to him
- Okogie need to be focused on pit bull role and it will be fine
- Ross we really need and I think thst Shamet is better than Lee…

So :

CP3, Payne, Saben
Booker, Shamet, Lee
Okogie, Ross, Ish
Durant, Craig, Warren
Ayton, Landale, Biz,

it looks something like that, I dont see Bazley playing, and almost bo Biz and Saben, when Ross back also I dont see Ish play and Warren and if Shamet comes back definetly

Ann Meyers Drysdale is just pretty bad, generic and doesn't seem to provide much to the commentary.

Worst of all she doesn't seem to be too enthusiastic about the Suns but maybe I'm wrong but have never really been a fan. I like Eddie Johnson the most but noticed he hasn't been on lately.

Eddie Johnson is typically one of the best color commentators in the business, but he lately only does the home games. On the road we have Ann Meyers Drysdale who is one of the worst in the business. Kevin Ray does play by play every game and is pretty good. The half time/post game with Tom Chambers and Tom Leander can be corny but is usually good quality. Our radio broadcast with Al McCoy is great - he is a legend in the industry and has been here forever.

Eric Collins is a national treasure. Wish he'd get hired by us or nationally.

Yeah EJ is S tier commentary, it's the play by play that has always been the issue. I actually prefer Leander when he covers, he isn't great with the calls but he actually knows the league better than most guys who clearly rely on some sort on pre-prepared notes and can barely follow what is happening. Marv Albert's brother had the voice but dude didn't have a clue, he only really seemed to know NY sports and boxing.

I really like Pasch as a play by play guy, wish the Suns had him since he already does Cards games.

There's definitely less great play by play guys compared to color guys. The play by play guy makes or breaks your broadcast quality. He's the equivalent of your 1st option, while the color commentator is your role players. It's easier to look good as a role guy, but if your 1st option stinks you're not going to be a good team.

I think most NBA play by play guys are quite well polished, but what separates the great ones from the rest are 1. knowing the intricacies of the game, 2. Bringing genuine passion for the team and 3. offering some color outside of the usual play by play clichebot lexicon.

Nice debut for KD combining for 60 with Book on the offensive side, helping out DA with some blocks on D. The fit is good as expected, now keep building up the chemistry. Bulls next, a similar quality game, then a real test against Mavs. I really want to see how our offense does against Mavs weak post D and how our D looks against a team shooting a lot of 3s.

I was at the game. Felt like more Suns fans there than Hornets.
The game had a playoff feel. Excitement and nerves for what was about to happen.
Great experience

I was 8 rows behind the Suns bench and yelled at Monty to pull the starters with around 90 seconds left. Not that I would have expected him to acknowledge or do anything but I know he heard me. Dude played a dangerous game leaving them out there.
