I didn't realize that. That's insane considering how close we are to a playoff spot lol. The west is crazy. I guess it's a win win situation for us.cupcakesnake wrote:WestbrookGOATed wrote:I just hope to the good lord Shai comes back against Utah. 3 straight games against Utah and and GS at home. All 3 pretty much must win games. I can't speak for other Thunder fans but we're far enough in this now we don't really have a chance at good draft position anyway. The NBA won't bless us like they did Cleveland time and time again. We need playoff experience for these young guys and next year we'll be a very, very good team. Didn't take Memphis long, don't see why it would take us any longer with all of the talent we have.
The Thunder currently have the 6th best lottery odds. But I agree with you, I'd like to see this team in the playoffs.

OKC is brewing a monster team before our very eyes... Giddey-Shai-Dort-Jalen-Chet + a bunch of young great other young guys
They may become a contender overnight.

on the flip side, we would be absolutely THRILLED to play the Knicks in the second round instead of Cleveland.
just to be honest, the bucks are a nightmare for any team going up against them

- Lakers won this game in the 3rd quarter. I thought OKC outplayed them in the 4th despite the score.
I really can't understand Hachimura. The potential is great if he plays with aggressiveness. But he usually plays opposite to that. Great cameo though

Paolo Banchero has hit 2/39 threes since the start of February.

Dort (not sure if he's listed as SF, but then neither is LeBron recently). Xavier Tillman? Buncha dudes.

His style of play gives off the vibe that he’s weak despite his physique. Always avoids contact from what I’ve seen with the lakers.

Austin Reaves the last two nights…
36 combined points on just 13 shots (10-13)
.663 true shooting % on the year. Ridiculously efficient player.

Always feels like something is locked inside him of his full potential. Someone has to remind him that “dude, you’re BUILT LIKE IRON, freaking bulldoze you’re way to the cup.” Then when defenses are forced to backup more, that’s when he gets to kill them with his smooth mid range jumper.

It felt like the Lakers got an officiating boost down the stretch. Schroeder was getting superstar calls and the refs had a quick whistle on loose ball situations against the Thunder.
The Thunder got 3 bull calls on the most textbook verticality plays by the Lakers (not even the slightest horizontal movement), plus a ticky-tack and-1 on Schroder over Dort. Then another loose ball foul on Schroder during a tie up that literally happens every game, despite Troy Brown being fouled initially to even start that sequence.
Every time the Lakers win this dumbass narrative gets fired up. The poor shooting 3pt team with high FGA-at-the-rim team is apparently not allowed to be a league leader in free throws, if they play in Los Angeles and wear a Nike banana yellow jersey.
@MoneyTalks, your team literally **** fouled on purpose in three possessions. That's 6 free throws right there.
I completely forgot about the Dennis tie up foul bull ****
Players always dive to grab the ball on those tie ups
Insane that they called that one

He would be a more consistent problem if he learned how to draw fouls. Just look at the difference tonight.
BI: 29 FGAs with just 3 FTAs
Dame: 22 FGAs with 16 FTAs
All the elite scorers are also elite at drawing fouls. BI still tends to try his best to avoid contact. Even the Pels commentators have been talking about this as of late. BI needs to do a better job at selling contact.

Agreed sadly .
