Re: Are the Grizz doomed
Holy crap we got one of the first offers in the last few years where Dame is being given legitimate value.
Is this a sign of the end times?

It's hard to root for them at times.

Ziaire Williams busting would be a blow to them. That was their last opportunity at a lotto pick in a while, and the pick they traded for him ended up being Trey Murphy

Memphis would still has plenty of assets after that and might even acquire more. The problem is I don’t know who that star is at the moment.
What about Bradley Beal? (In a world where salaries don't matter).

Re: Are the Grizz doomed
They're not "doomed" by their window seems smaller than one might think it would be, considering the age of their roster. To be fair to the FO, all reports indicate that they've been very aggressive in improving the team now, and I'm sure that'll continue in the offseason.
I think they are a piece away right now from being a legitimate contender. I also think having veteran talent/energy around Ja right now could change the entire trajectory of his career.
I just don't think they'll get a ring out of this core unless they make some moves, sooner than later, and like I said, to be fair to the FO, it seems like they are well aware of that.

A Ja-injury away from doomed, but who isn’t a star-player-injury away from doomed

The team went from being the lovable 2009 Oklahoma City Thunder to the Portland Jail Blazers in terms of notoriety in one season.
The Greatest of All Time debate in basketball is essentially who has the greatest basketball resume of the player who has the best highlights instead of who is the best player

Well, the Grizz wanted all the smoke, so, it's coming.

Well that the way of life and realgm
You have people say your dead wrong and when you are proven to be right in some regard they are no where to be found. They only to reply when your wrong for some reason.
To be fair what I said wasn't already known in some regard.

What if it was your negative energy that seeped into the Grizzlies spirit and caused all this?

My opinion may not be your opinion or their opinion but I have it.

The people who posted here with the "boys will be boys" and "it's Memphis" excuses for a grown man flashing a gun and jumping teenagers are a bunch of immature wannabes. Just as pathetic as Ja, but without the success.

Re: Are the Grizz doomed
yeah, they're kind of doomed
Ja obviusly has his priorities mixed up and he hasn't been durable either missing a quarter of every season
Losing Clarke not only hurt them this season, he is signed for 3.5 more years and seeing as it an achilles injury...who knows what they'll be getting back during the length of this contract
The West (and leauge) are stacked and will remain stacked for the few next seasons
Bane extenstion will be hefty when it comes, they already have 136M committed for next season
if they were smart they would trade Ja and give that headache to someone else, a fringe MVP caliber player or an all-NBA if u prefer, still growing and have yet to enter his prime - that should fetch a pretty penny
JJJ and Bane can we integrated with just about anyone
they're not winning a chip with these 3

JA for Trae Young in the offseason...Grizz played good without JA,they could cover Young's defensive deficincies...JA and Muray would be exciting duo in Atlanta

Ja in their Atlanta cultural scene would be an even bigger disaster unless he gets he grows up. Trae is more of a hoops only kinda guy. Rappers gonna get him hooked on lean

Klay Thompson trolls us
Ja Morant is dead talented but I would trade him for Dame Lillard no questions asked. He has this persona that just doesn't fit well in the modern NBA for some reason.
We go on long win streaks then go on long loosing ones.
Besides my trade idea that would never happen what needs to fall in line to get respect again.
At our core it seems like we will always be ran like a small market team even when have a window to really compete. Similar to Indiana when they are good.
Did you just jinx your team?
