Starting with blowing out New Orleans, this is the most loosey goosey our squad has been in a lonnnng time. These last three games have been stupid fun.

I highly expect the Lakers to miss the playoffs and end up winning the lottery. Oh wait never mind, they gave the Pels a pick swap option. Nope, they won't end up winning the lottery then.

It bothers even me. I honestly can't stand it for more than a few minutes. Randleyore will be returning shortly.

I thought that fad died out months ago.

It's still a thing? Seems played out.

If you're still Pro Tank go watch the New Jersey Nets.

We are legit good now and with how good Brunson is playing and the depth of our team...you can legit say we are probably 1 piece away from being a contender.

Leon deserves credit for getting a lot of the things on the margins right. Gives you a lot more room for error on the big things and makes it easier to fix past mistakes.

Having Deuce be a competent rotation piece as a 2nd rounder allowed Thibs to drop Cam.

When Mitch goes down the Knicks can still put out a competent C rotation because he hit on Sims as a late 2nd round pick.

Having Quickley and Grimes be major parts of the rotation as late 1st round picks allowed him the ability to pivot a lot easier off of the disaster of last year because you could bank on rookie scale guys giving you solid production this year.

The Knicks of the past would have had trouble swinging a trade for Hart because we would have been too worried about our future asset pool. Now that we have young guys and a plethora of picks it makes it easier to swallow giving up a 1st this year.

Those little wins on the margins add up over time. Many teams don't hit on more than one late 1st or second round picks and Leon has hit on a few now.

Too add that, Rose-Thibs duo also effectively changing the Knicks image. The dysfunctional franchise image is changing. Its becoming always in playoffs, have decent and solid rotation players team. A marquee FA can easily look to Knicks and say they're just one piece away from being a serious contender.

Not so fast. We own our 1st and will enter the lottery while having picks to deal for a star (KAT, Lavine, etc)

All depends on direction of choice. We should’ve dealt Kyrie and KD in the summer for a valid shot at Wemby and Scoot.

Hi Paradise...unfortunately I don't have the memory of a goldfish. When you guys got KD and Kyrie, your fan base went around like you won the championship. It didn't exactly make us feel good, but we're not talking about us.

Your franchise had an opportunity to win a title. It didn't work out. I'm sure you're not thrilled about it. But from our point of view, we are..and that's because you guys expected the trophy to be handed out to you before the circus that happened on Atlantic Avenue. I know a Nets fan who personally put that in my face ad nauseum...and I didn't exactly appreciated it. You guys though it was a lock...but it wasn't. Your team's first announcer, John Sterling said on many occasions "That's why they have to play the games...". He's right.

In some way, you fans all deserved it. So good luck with those picks bud...it's still our town...

On this 7 game winning streak the Knicks are +142 in total points for a better than +20ppg per game! Wut

Well said.

The really fun part was when I expressed my reservations about the two players in question - same as I did when they were rumored to us - I was called "a liar" and "delusional" even when I brought receipts on my concerns. Health and Kyrie's hubris were always a huge risk and my biggest concern was the outsized influence Kyrie would have after Durant suffered his Achilles injury. It put him in the driver's seat of whatever team they landed on... and he's nuts. And I didn't forget those comments either. Watching it all fall apart for that exact reason has been a true joy. Particularly as the Knicks finally showed some discipline, acted like the big brother we are, and built back up brick by brick instead of chasing some far fetched dream.

True but they also signed RJ long term just prior. I thought the context of them being shocked wasn’t that DM got traded, but that Utah immediately traded him for assets in line with what NY had already offered. It wasn’t even a long process they just took the offer.

Same thing happened with Beasley and Vanderbilt. They made a fair offer Fournier, Toppin, and a draft pick and Ainge continues to try and rob them for additional assets and demanded another first rounder. Meanwhile he took Westbrook, scrap and a first to do the deal. Ainge either loathe’s the Knicks or has them categorized as a team to always exploit. Rose and them twice now approached Ainge on a fair trade bit.

I say all that to say this. You can’t judge Rose to Harshly regarding Utah. Ainge is working off an agenda to overcharge the Knicks everytime they engage.
I judge Rose positively for not allowing himself to get fleeced.

I do to, but there are people who are still mad we didn’t get Mitchell. Leon made several fair offers some even better than what Ainge eventually took. Ainge won’t deal with the Knicks unless he can kneecap them.
Those people know they were wrong, I notice one guy in particular "KnicksNext"who doesn't seem to post while we are dominating with the players we refused to use as throw ins for for Donovan.

When does the 'but the Knicks would have been better with Mitchell' ideology some posters devotedly believe with no way to prove either way yet is repeated as some supposed one upper expire? Playoffs? Higher seed than the Cavs? Playoff series win? Conference finals appearance? More? What? When? Just asking for a friend...
